15 UNDERST ANDING YOUR SCANNER Once you underst an d a few simple terms we use in this manua l and fam iliarize you rself w ith your sca nner’s features , you c an put th e scanner to work for you. Yo u simply fi nd the com muni cati ons you wan t to recei ve, then set the sca nner to scan t hem .

27 TURNING CHANNEL-STORAGE BANKS ON AND OFF You can turn each channel-s torage bank o n an d off . When you turn of f a b ank, th e scan ner does not s can any of the 30 chan nels in t hat bank. While sc anning, pr ess the number key tha t co r r espo nds to the bank you want t o turn on or off.
