9 INTRODUCTION Remote Control Overview OPEN/CLOSE, EJECT ( Z Z ) - Opens and closes the disc tray . - Ejects the tape in the VCR deck. INPUT Selects the VCR deck’s source (T uner , LINE 1, or LINE 2). SOUND MODE Selects sound mode : BYP ASS, PRO LOGIC, PRO LOGIC II (MOVIE, MUSIC, MA TRIX) or 3D SURROUND.
Rear Panel Connections Overview Do not touch the inner pins of the jacks on the rear panel. Electrostatic discharge may cause permanent damage to the unit. VCR IN LINE 1 (VIDEO IN/AUDIO IN (Left/Right)) Connect the audio/video output of an external source (Audio system, TV/Monitor , another VCR).

Use connections described on pages 1 1-14. Please refer to the manuals of your TV , VCR, Stereo System or other devices as necessary to make the best connections.

14 Radio Antenna Connections Connect the supplied FM/AM antennas for radio listen- ing. 1 1 Connect the AM loop antenna to the AM antenna connectors. 2 2 Connect the FM wire antenna to the FM antenna connectors. otes To prevent noise pickup, keep the AM loop antenna away from the DVD/VCR Receiver and other compo- nents.
Follow these guidelines to select and switch between the various DVD/VCR Receiver input and output sources: • DVD To view output from the DVD deck: Press DVD on the remote or DVD/VCR on the front panel until the DVD indicator on the front panel lights and output from the DVD deck is viewed on the TV screen.

28 VCR Operation (Continued) VHS Hi-Fi Stereo System/ MTS Broadcast This DVD/VCR Receiver is equipped with the VHS Hi-Fi audio sound system for recording and playback. The information below gives a brief description of Hi-Fi audio and how to record and play a tape in the Hi-Fi audio mode.
