3 Computer System Requirements for Window s OS T o be ab le to down load photos an d videos to yo ur PC yo u will nee d the follow ing minimu m configura tion: Pentium 4 pro c essor or abo ve w it.
4 A Quic k Look at Y our Ca mera.
5 Prep a ring Y our C amera fo r Use Y our digita l camera needs 3 A AA ba tteries in order to operate. Alkaline batterie s are re commended. 1. Slide and open the battery do or on the bo ttom of the camera. 2. Insert the batteries correc tly with the corre ct polarity facing up.
6 1. A “ Lo w battery ” m essage will f lash on t he LCD when the batter y power is insuf ficien t. Shortly thereaf ter your ca mera w ill pow er off . 2. Please re move your batterie s when you don ‟ t intend to use yo ur cam era for a long time.
7 3. Push the card in until you f eel it “ click ” into position. The top of the card s hould be flus hed with the surface of the camera . A n SD icon w ill appear on the LCD scree n af ter you turn on your camera.
8 St arting Y our Digital Cam era Power on Press the Powe r button on the top of the camera to turn on your ca me ra. The LCD w ill ligh t up indicatin g t hat your ca mera is on and ready for u se. Power off Press the Power button to turn of f your camera.
9 2. Press the M ODE button to toggle betw een the 3 modes. 3. The C amera m ode w ill hav e an icon in the top lef t corner of the LCD scree n. The Video m ode w ill have an icon and the Playb ack mode a icon w ill appear in the top lef t corner o f the screen.

11 1. Slide the Macro /Far sw itch on the side o f the camer a to the position . 2. The icon will appear on the LCD screen to indi cate tha t the far shoo t ing function i s on. Flash In low li ght c ondition s it is best to use the built -in f lash. Y ou can also use the flash to compensate for backlight cond itions.
12 If the flash is not ready , a red LED w ill light up and the icon will flash repeatedly- w ait until t he flash is read y before taking a photo. Note: A “ low battery ” w arning will appear on the LCD screen if ther e is insuf ficient battery pow er to operate the flash.
13 3. Press the Left /Right button to choose “Y es” to delete the photo or “No” to c an cel the delete. 4. Press the MENU button to confirm. If you sele cted Y e s, t he last i mage is deleted . Each setting w ill be explain ed in its ow n section below .

Super quali ty Fine quality Normal quality Date This allow s you to se t the system t ime which w ill be display ed on the photos.
25 On selecting “On” the date w ill appear on the photo once it is t aken . On selecting “Of f” no date w il l app ear on the photo . On selecting “Set Date” the Set Date settings screen will appear . Y ou will be able to change the date settings that w ill appea r on the photo once it i s taken .
26 4. Press the M ENU button to confirm, save the changes and exit. Auto Power O ff By default, if your camera is idle for 60 sec ond s it will automati cally be power ed off. Use the Auto Pow er Off option to change t his setting: 1. Press the Up/Do wn button to sele ct the Auto Pow er O ff option in Setup menu.
27 4. Press the Up/Dow n button t o select a t ime that the camera will automatically power off if inactive . Note: If you select None, the camera will not be pow ered off until the ba ttery pow er is depleted or the camera is turn ed off manually . 5.

34 Full screen to Thumbnail display W hen the ca mera is in the Playback M ode and an image appears on the LCD screen: 1. Press the W bu tton . 2. This will ope n up the thu mbnail di splay . 3. Press the Up/Do wn /Left/Righ t button s and select a thu mbnail of a photo or video .
35 Select the pho to you w ish to rotate , protect, dele te, crop or prin t . Rotate The rota te feature w ill only w ork for i mages on the SD card that is inserted. 1. Press the MENU button. 2. Press the Right /Left button to select the rota te option.

37 4. Press the MENU button. 5. If you sele ct Lock, a loc k icon will appear at the top of the LCD for t he photo or video selected. Note: T o “Unlock” t he current file follow steps 1 through 4. Select “ Unlock ” an d pre ss t he MENU button t o unlock the current file .
38 3. Press the Up/Dow n button t o select “ This Image ” ( if the imag e is a photo) or “ This Video ” (if the image is a video) to dele te the curren t photo or v ideo you sele cted. Sele ct the “All” op tion to delete all unprotect ed images .
39 Crop Image Crop your photos t o show and save a specific portion o f an ima ge or to highlight certain focal point s. The Crop feature lets you zoom in on an image and then save tha t par t of the imag e as a new photo. Note: Only photos on the SD Car d can be croppe d.
40 8. Press the Shu tter button for the crop confirmation icons to appe ar or press the M ENU button to ex it. 9. Press the Shu tter bu tton to conf irm and sav e the crop or press the MEN U button to ex it. 10. A Saving screen appear s before the cropped photo is saved as a new photo t o your ca mera`s memory card .
41 6. A message will appe ar on the LCD to “P lease conne ct to dev ice ” . 7. Conne ct your ca mera to a compa tible printer w it h the USB cable pro vided to begin printing. 8. Press the MENU button to exit if y ou do not w ant to print . Playing the A VI video file 1.

If yo u do no t have internet access at the tim e of inserting the C D-ROM, conne c t to the inter net and then click the “ Inst all Viv itar Exper ience Image M anager ” button to be gin the inst al lation Note: If yo u do not hav e internet a c cess, you can still down load media fro m the camera.
46 On PC: C lick the “I A gree” button to continue. On Macinto sh: Click the “ I accep t the ter ms of this li cense agr eement” and then cli ck “Nex t” to continue. 10. On PC only : L et the “Vivi tar Ex perien ce Image Man ager” insta ller create the folder to wh ere the progr am w ill be inst alled, and then click “Ins tall”.
47 Get photos and video s from your camera to your computer An SD card needs to be inser t ed. Do not di sconnect the cable dur ing transfer . Doing so will cance l the transfer of any files on their wa y to your compu ter . 1. Select the “Get i mages” button from the Main menu.
48 4. Select your camera (re movable disk) f ro m the dev ice window . If your camera is the only US B device conne cted then i t will be selected au tomatically . 5. Select a loca tion on the computer w here to place the ne w ph oto and v ideo files.
49 T ransfer media from m y camera to m y com puter manu all y (Using Windows) 1. Use the US B cable tha t came w ith your ca mera to conne ct your camera to you r computer . 2. A wind ow appea rs with a list of options, sele ct Open folder to view files and click OK.
