7 Setting the Date an d T ime The ne x t step in the ini t ial camera setup i s to set the date and tim e on the cam era. Set the Date and T i m e as desir ed by pressing the RIGHT and LEF T d irection control buttons to choose the specific setting and the UP and D OWN bu ttons to change each sett ing.

13 Navigati ng the M enus Each cam era m ode has a set of menus specific to that m ode . 1) Press the SET b utt on to open the m enus for the current mode. 2) Press the L E FT or RIGHT direction control bu tton to scro ll be tw een the various m enus for the current mode.
14 Camera Options: Flash , Macro, Zoom, Displa y Flash Options There are several Flash opt io ns availab l e on your cam era. The options appear on the Photo Capture Mode LCD screen in sequence. T o chan ge the F lash m ode, pr ess the UP Qui c k Function button until you ar riv e at your desir ed settings.
15 Forced On T he flash is enabled for each p hoto. NOT E : I f you use this option in a well lit environm en t, your photo m a y be appear t oo br i ght/light (overexposed). Red Eye Reduction El iminates the red-eye effect in a photo cause d by flash.
16 NOT E: T he M acro mo de m ust be tu r ned OFF w hen you w ant to use th e following f eatures of your cam era: F lash, Face Detect, Smile Capture. Not all cam er as included these features. Refe r to the „Camera S pecifications‟ section to view the fea t ures included with this cam er a.
17 Photo Ca pture Mode The Photo Capture m ode al lows you to capture pictures with your d i gita l cam era. T aking a Picture 1) W hile i n Photo Capture m ode , use the LCD d ispla y on the back of the cam e ra to direct the cam era at the scene you w ould like to capture.

20 Scene Menu The Scene Menu allow s you to ch oose sc ene settings that let your cam era to a dapt pro perly to your current environment. Note: W hen selecting the HIGH SENSITIVITY Op tion, by default the cam era switches o f f the FLASH autom ati cally ( if it‟s ON) t o optim ize th e pi c ture quality .
21 7) Press the MODE button t o exit the m enu a nd retur n to your previous m o de. 8) An icon reflecting your se lection w ill display o n the LCD screen. 9) Re m e m be r that this setting will be saved by y our camera until you manually chan ge the setting or restore the cam er a‟ s default factory settings.
22 2) Press the LEFT or RIGH T d irection control bu tton to scro ll and select the „ Self-T i m e r ‟ m enu. 3) Press the UP or DOWN direct i on control button to scroll through the menu options. 4) Press the SET b utt on to select and save the desired option.
23 Face Detect Menu The Face Detect feature when set to „On‟ allow s th e camera to use a subject‟ s f a ce as t he basis for balan c ing the other co lor s and focus in the cam era‟s display . This feature is meant to ensure that the color and focus of your pictures w ill be cons iste nt ly sharp and high -q ua lity .
24 White Balance Menu The W hite Balance feature allow s your ca m era t o adjust the color i ng of the captured images depending on the type of lig ht so urce in the current environm ent.
25 Multi SnapShots Menu W hen enabled, the Multi SnapShot s feature allows you to take si x r ap id snap sho t s in a row w i th a singl e c lick of the Shu tter button. This feature can be eff ective when try in g to capture a p articular m oment in a sp orting eve nt or other scenes with quick movem ents.

31 Frequency Menu The op t ions in the Frequency m enu r epresent the frequency of the electr ical curre n t in fl uorescent lighting so urces in your loca le . If y our camera is set to a frequency that does not m a tch your countr y‟ s electric current, you m a y see waves on the images t aken by your camera.

33 Photo Pla y b ack Mode The Playback Mode allows you to review and edit photos and vi deos that you‟ve already tak en w ith you cam era. W hen yo u f ir st turn on the cam er a, the camera w ill be in Photo Capture m ode by defau lt . Pre ss the MODE button twice to open the Playback Mode.

35 Photo Pla y back M ode Menus The following are the m enus that a pp ear in your cam er a‟ s Photo Playba ck Mode: Delet e M enu W hile in th e P la yback Mode, you can de le t e pictures from your cam er a through the Delete menu. 1) V iew the photo you would like to delete.
36 All of your im ages wil l be perm anentl y deleted. A bl ank „No Files Ex ist‟ screen will appear . Press the MODE button t o exit the „No Files E xist‟ scree n and return to Photo Capture m o de. Remember : Al l im ages will be de l eted except i m age s that are Protected/Locked.

59 4) If you have internet access, the “Choo se y our language” w in dow opens, choose your lan g uage and click “Next” to open the nex t window . 5) Select your camera m od el fro m the li st and c lick “Next” to open the next w indo w . 6) Click “ Nex t” to confirm your camera model selection and to in st all the app lication.
