6 Preparing Y ou r Cam era fo r Use Y our digital camera needs 3 AAA batt eries in order to operate. Alk al i ne batteri es are re comm ended . 1. Slide and open the battery door on the b ott om of the ca mera . 2. Insert t he batt er i es correctl y wi th the correct polari t y facing up.
7 Installing SD M emo ry Car d Y our c amera has v ery limited i nternal memory enough to take one test photo. An external m e mory card is required for normal u se .

9 How to hold y our cam era correctly w hen capturing images Turn on the Pow er button to activa te the Auto- Fo c us zo om lens to o pen out like a periscope. Hold the ca mera steady and corre ctly as show n is the diagr am below . Note: Do no t tou ch or move the lens once it opens and is in use.
10 St arting Y our Digital Camera Power on Press the P ow er button on the t o p of the c a m era to turn on your camera. T he LCD will light up and t he Auto-Focus zoom lens w ill extend ou t indicating that y our camera is on and re ady for u se. Power off Press the P ow er button to turn off your camera.

White Balanc e This setting allo ws the camera to adju st the color o f your p hotos accor ding to the color of y ou r light source.

27 Date This allow s you to set the system t ime which w ill be displayed on the ph otos. 1. P res s the Up/Dow n buttons to se lect the Da te option in the Setup menu .
28 3. Press the Rig ht / Left button t o select and hi ghlight the Y ear , Month, Day , Hour , Minut e, Second and Date Format type. 4. P ress the Up/Dow n butt on to set the Date and T ime digits.
29 4. Press t he Up/Down button to s e l ect a time that the camera w ill automatically power off if inactive. Note : I f you s elec t None, the camera w ill not be powere d off until the battery power i s depleted or the camera i s turned of f manually .
30 Format This function w il l format the m emo ry card and will erase all fil e s in mem ory including files that have been protected. Import ant: Please use this functio n w ith caution. Once formatted all the image s stored in the memory will be erase.

33 V ideo M ode Press the MO DE button to select the Video mod e. Note: The camera has limited inter nal memory and does not allow recording videos without an S D card inserted. An SD card (up to 8GB) needs to be in serted in ord er to use the video mode no rmally .
34 Dow nload the test file from the internal m e m or y to the PC or de lete them to shoot more videos. Alternatively , you can inser t a SD memory card to ex pa nd the memo ry to record longer video s.

37 Full scr een to T humbnail display W hen the cam era is in the Playback Mode and an image appears on the LCD screen: 1. Press t he W b ut t on . 2. This will open up the thumbnail display . 3. Press the Up/Down/Left/ Ri ght buttons and select a thumbnail of a photo or video .
38 Select t he photo you wis h to rotat e, prot ect , delete , crop or print . Rotate The rotate feat ure will onl y work for images on the SD card that is inserted. 1. Press the M ENU button. 2. Press the Right/Left button to select the rotate opti on.
39 Note: 1. Y ou c ann ot rotate a protected file. O n attempting to rotate a protected file a “ Thi s Fil e is W rit e - Protect ed ” message will appear on t he screen. 2. “ No card i nserted ” w ill appear on the s creen if no SD c ard is ins er t.
40 5. If you select Lock, a l ock ic on w il l appear at the top of the LCD for the photo or video selected. Note: T o “Unlock” the curre nt fi le fol l o w steps 1 through 4 . S e lec t “ Unlock ” and pre ss the M ENU button t o unlock t he current fi l e.

48 2. On the “PhoT ags Ex press " sc reen, c lick the “ Next” but ton. 3. Pleas e review the license terms and click the “ I Ag r e e ” button t o continue.
49 4. Let the “PhoT ags Express” i n staller create the folder where the program w ill be i n stalled to, and then cl i ck “I nst al l” ..
50 5. Pleas e wait while the applicat i on is being installed on your computer . 6. Once the application has been installed on your computer , click the “Fi nis h” butto n to le t th e “Ph oT ags Express” i nstaller finis h the installation program.
51 If you s elect ed the option for th e applicati on to start af t er pre ssing the Finish button, the applic at i on will autom aticall y launch. If not, then in order to open the application you need to double cl i ck on the Photags Ex press icon on the desktop.
52 Every thing you need to get the most from y our photos The “PhoT ags Express” s of tware that is install ed on your co mputer allows you to edi t existing photos t ha t you have on your computer as w ell as the photos t hat you have captured w ith your c am era.
53 M a nage y our photos by creat ing countless uni que photo collections without duplic ating any photos. Burn CD’s of any folders for backup and storage. Enhance y our photos ; A ut o Enh ance, Crop, Correct Red Eye, Manually Adjust and add S pecial Effects.
54 Download photos and v ideos to y our P C Transfer Phot o a nd V ideo im ages fro m y our camera to y our PC usi ng P hoTags E xpr ess. Select t he “G et Photos ” butt on from the top of the PhoTags Express Main Menu screen.
55 The Get Photos W izard opens. Select the devic e (removable disk ) opti on i n the Active Devices window on the lef t and then select either t he “Cust om ” or “Express” copy radial button in the Copy methods box. Note: If you do not see your camera in the list press the Refresh button.
56 CUSTOM COPY M ETHOD Select t he “Custom ” copy radial button. Click the “Next” button. Add Active Capti ons to your pictures. You can add a date, keyw ords, c a tegories and more. Click “Next” t o continue. Choose where to place your pho t os and videos.
57 Click the “Fi nish” butt on to start the download process . A photos download progress bar appears s howing the num ber of media (videos included) downloading to your comput er.
58 All t he media – Photos and Videos on your camera are now downloaded to your comput er to t he select ed folder . Open the “Select Photos ” m ode of P hotags Ex press to view the thumbnails for all the media. You may now use PhoTags Ex pres s t o edit your photos, creat e col l ect i ons and Burn CD`s.
