Tank Owner’s Manual Pg. 4 of 23 9/26/05 Rev. D The pressure in the filt er will increase and the flow of wa ter through the filter will diminish as dirt accumulates in the filter. Eventually, the filter will become obstruct ed enough with dirt that it will become necessary to backwash the filter.

Tank Owner’s Manual Pg. 9 of 23 9/26/05 Rev. D 2.7 Media Installation • Consult Appendix B for media specifications. • Partially fill the tank with water. This will help prevent damage to the internal piping when installing the gravel. • Install the gravel media.

Tank Owner’s Manual Pg. 11 of 23 9/26/05 Rev. D When backwashing, it is important that there is: • Sufficient Back w ash Time. It is recommende d to backwash each tank for at least 5 minutes • Sufficient Back wash Flow Rate.
