Advanced 58 VQT0V6 3 ∫ Pref ocus This is a technique f or f ocusing in adv ance on the point the pictures will be taken when it is difficult to focus on the subjec t with auto f ocus due to its quic k motion. [e.g. [P ANNING] (P61) in scene mode] This function is suitab le when the distance between the camera and t he subject is cer tain.
Advanced 59 VQT0V 63 ∫ About the menu s creen ite ms • There are 5 menu screens (1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5 and 5/5). • Y ou can switch menu screens from an y menu item by rotating the zoom le v er . • When you take a picture with a sce ne mode that is not adequate f or the purpos e, t he hue of the pict ure may di ffer from the actual scene.
Advanced 60 VQT0V6 3 • This mode is only suitable when taking pictures outdoors in the daytime. • If a par t of the bac kground etc. is a color close to skin color , this part is also smoothed. • This mode may not be eff ective when there is insufficient brightness.
Advanced 61 VQT0V 63 • When using the flash, Slo w sync./Red-ey e reduction [ ] is selected and the flash is activated ev er y time. • The continuous AF setting is d isab led. Press [ ] to displa y the [SCENE MODE] menu and select a scene mode. (P58) This modes allows you to record the nightscape vividly by reducing the shutter speed.
Advanced 62 VQT0V6 3 • Y ou cannot set the s tabiliz er function mode to [MODE2]. When you set it to [MODE1], o nly vertical jitters can be compensated in panning mode. • The ISO sens itivity is fixed to [ISO80]. • The settings on the AF assist lamp and the continuous AF are disabled.
