4 1. Regional Restriction Codes (Region Number) Regional restriction codes are built into D VD play ers and D VD videos f or each sales region. If the regional code of the D VD Receiver does not match one of the regional codes on the D VD video , playbac k is not possible.

6 F eatur es Memory Preservation This unit does not require memor y preser vation batteries . A built-in memory power backup system preserv es the contents of memory dur ing power f ailures and ev en when the PO WER switch is set to OFF . The PO WER switch must be set to ON in order to charge the backups system.

21 DVD Tip to obtain a higher quality picture Occasionally , some picture noise not usually visible during a normal broadcast may appear on the TV screen while playing a D VD video because the high resolution pictures on these discs include a lot of information.
