4 En Navigation How to use the camera Using the internal memory or card... Pictures taken with this camera are stored in the internal memory or on a xD-Picture Card. By storing the relevant print reservation data with the images on the card, you can print pictures at a photo store or on a PictBridge-compatible printer.
5 En Using the direc t buttons... Direct buttons let you perform functions such as switching between shooting mode and playback mode, erasing pictures or setting the flash mode, making camera operation easy.
6 En Safety Precautions Read All Instructions — Before you use the product, read all operating instructions. Save These Inst ructions — Save all safety and oper ating instructions for future reference. Heed Warnings — Read car efully and follow all warning labels on the product and those described in the instructions.

Safety Precauti ons 11 En DANGER • When using NiMH batteries ( included in some areas), use only the Olympus brand NiMH batteries a nd fitting charger .

15 En LOADING THE BATTERIES 1 Make sure the camera is turned off. 2 Open the battery compartment/c ard cover. 3 Insert the batteries. The lens barrier is closed. The monitor is off.
