7 This tool has a re versing s witch to change the direction of rotation. Mov e the rev ersing switch le ver to the position (A side) f or clockwise rotation or to the position (B side) f or counterclockwise rotation. Selecting action mode CA UTION: • Do not rotate the action mode changing knob when the tool is running under load.
8 To r q u e l i m i t e r The torque limiter will actuate when a cer tain torque lev el is reached. The motor will disengage from the output shaft. When this happens, the bit will stop turning. CA UTION: • As soon as the torque limiter actuates, s witch off the tool immediately .
9 Installing or removing the bit Clean the bit shank and apply bit grease bef ore installing the bit. Inser t the bit into the tool. T urn the bit and push it in until it engages. After installing, alwa ys make sure that the bit is securely held in place by trying to pull it out.
10 Depress the lock b utton and rotate the action mode changing knob to the symbol. Then make sure that the bit is securely held in place by turning it slightly . Depth gauge The depth gauge is conv enient for drilling holes of unif or m depth. Loosen the side grip and inser t the depth gauge into the hole in the side grip .
11 CA UTION: • There is tremendous and sudden twisting f orce ex er ted on the tool/bit at the time of hole break-through, when the hole becomes clogged with chips and par ticles, or when striking reinforcing rods embedded in the concrete .
12 • Pressing e xcessively on the tool will not speed up the drilling. In fact, this e xcessive pressure will only serve to damage the tip of your bit, decrease the tool perf or mance and shor ten the ser vice life of the tool. • There is a tremendous twisting f orce ex er ted on the tool/ bit at the time of hole breakthrough.
