Unp ac king t h e pr i n t e r 1 Remove everything from the shipping box, but leave the ink cartridge in its package. 2 Remove the tape and packing material from the inside and outside of the printer. 4P lace the printer in your work area. Choose a loc ation near y our computer that ha s a grounded elec tric al out let a nd g ood v entil ation, i s out of direct s unli ght, ne v er g ets damp or v .

2 Raise the bright blue lever on the carrier. 3 Remove the cover from the plastic tub that contains the ink cartridge. The se inst ruc t i ons show t he f our -col or cartrid g e b eing installed, but the proces s is t he same f or eit her cartrid ge .

5 In the Welcome dialog box that appears, click Continue. IMPORTANT The Ins t aller determi nes w h ether y ou ha v e the c or rect s y stem so ft wa re , a nd enou gh memory and hard di s k space t o use t his printer . 8W hen you see a message reporting that installation was successful, click Restart. Th e Installer restarts your c omputer . After y ou re star t, y ou ma y notice on y our de s k t op , a n ew i c on that repre sents a pri nter . It ’ s c alled a de s kt op pri nter , a nd it look s li ke t his .

29 Printing 3W hile the document is active on your screen, choose Page Setup from the File menu and make adjustments in the dialog box that opens. 3C hoose the watermark you want from the pop-up menu. 4A djust the Density and Scaling. When the Density s lider i s all the w a y to t he ri ght , the w ater mark will print as dark as it i s i n the ori gi nal w atermark file .
