7 First Steps First Steps Inser ting the Battery and a Memor y Card Inserting the Batter y and a Memory Card Inser t the batter y and memor y card as described below . Q Before pr oceeding, confirm that the water-r esistant seal is free of for eign matter as described on page xi.
8 First Steps Inser ting the Battery and a Memor y Card 2 Inser t the batter y . Align the orange stripe on the battery with the orange battery latch and slide the battery into the camera, k eeping the battery latch pressed to one side . Confirm that the battery is securely latched.
9 First Steps Inser ting the Battery and a Memor y Card 3 Inser t the memor y card. Holding the memor y card in the orientation shown at right, slide it in until it clicks into place at the back of the slot. Q Be sure card is in the correct orientation; do not insert at an angle or use force.

13 First Steps Inser ting the Battery and a Memor y Card • The data in internal memor y may be erased or corrupted when the camera is repaired . Please note that the repair er will be able to view pictures in internal memory. • F or matting a memor y card or internal memory in the camera creates a folder in which pictures are stor ed.
14 First Steps Charging the Battery Charging the Battery The battery is not charged at shipment. Charge the batter y before use . The camera charges the battery internally. The camera uses an NP-45S r echargeable battery. 1 Attach the plug adapter to the A C power adapter .
15 First Steps Charging the Battery 3 Charge the battery. Connect the camera to the supplied AC power adapter using the supplied USB cable. Then plug the AC power adapter into an indoor power outlet. Q Be sure the connectors are in the correct orientation and then inser t them fully .
16 First Steps Charging the Battery Charging via a comput er Charging via a computer The battery can be charged by connecting the camera to a computer . T urn the camera off and connect the supplied USB cable as shown, making sure the connectors are fully inserted.

Set up the camera as described below (you can reset the clock or change languages at any time using the F DA TE/TIME or L a options in the setup menu; for inf ormation on displaying the setup menu, see page 85).

Before proceeding , install the free FUJIFILM PC AutoSav e application to the destination computer and adjust settings as desired.

Note that depending on the printer , not all the func tions described below may be suppor ted.

61 Connections Printing Pictures via USB Printing the DPOF Print Order Printing the DPOF Print Order The K PRINT ORDER (DPOF) option in the playback menu can be used to create a dig ital “print order ” for P ictBridge - compatible printers ( P 93) or devices that suppor t DPOF .
