19 ⑩ T o connect t he unit to a device with an HDMI input terminal. Connect a comm ercially available HDMI c able to the [HDMI OUT] terminal on the rear panel. ⑪ T o connect t he AC adapter . Before inserting t he AC a dapter in an outlet, connect the DC plug of the s upplied A C adapter to the [DC IN 12V] t erminal on the rear panel.

22 2-2 Supplied Accesso ries ■ Remote Contr ol Preparation of Remo te Control Remove the battery c ase cover at the back of the remote control and install 2 batteries .
23 ■ Remote Cont rol Strap The strap can be fas tened to the remote cont rol as shown below . ■ Image Mate CD - RO M The CD - ROM contains the software for connecting t o a PC and the Instruction Manual. For software installation, follow the i nstructions of the Im age Mate Installation Manual.
24 ■ Prep aration Setting Up ① Release the camera c olumn lock by turning the security lock knob. ② As shown in the ri ght figure, hold the set up grip and raise the cam era column. At this time, the c amera head slides up in c onjunction with t he rise of the camera column.
25 (1) Fold the camera col umn on the stage. When the camera column is folded in t he storage position, the camera position is i nitialized. (2) Then, raise t he camera column.
26 STORING ① R eturn the lamp t o the original posit ion. Then, hold the setup grip of t he camera column and f old the camera column. At t his time, the camera head slides down and the lam p column also fol ds. ② Lock the camera col umn and the lamp colum n by turning the securi ty lock.
27 2- 3 Shooting Images ■ Setting up the m ain unit Set up the main unit as shown in the f igure above. Then connec t the main unit to a proje ctor or a PC monitor , and turn on the pow er of the main unit. Connecting the AC cord Connect the AC cord and the AC adapter .
28 Connecting the video cable Connect the doc ument camera to the display de vice with a video cable c orresponding to t he display device. ■ T urning the power ON/OFF • Press the [ ] button on the ma in unit or the [ ] button on the remot e control to turn the powe r ON.
29 ■ Operating the to uch panel Y ou can c ontrol the unit with the t ouch panel. . Start up screen The startup screen wil l appear on the touc h panel when the product is turned on.
30 ② Drag By sliding your finger ac ross the touch panel surface while t ouching the item, you can move i t. When the Presentation feat ures (Highlight, Mask, Scroll) are in use, you can move the area. N o t e CAUTION • T o prevent damage duri ng transport, a protec tion sheet has been put on t he touch panel screen.
31 ■ Adjusting the size To adjust the dis play area of the document , tap [Startup sc reen] > [ / ] on the touch panel or pres s the [ / ] button on t he remote control. ZOOM - IN : The object can be show n in large size. ZOOM - OUT : The object can be show n in small size.
32 ■ Adjusting the brightne ss To adjust the bright ness of the im age, tap [ (Main menu) ] > [ ] on the touch panel or pres s the [ / ] buttons on the remote control . The following t wo adjustment modes are av ailable for thi s adjustment. Each mode can be s et by tapping [ ( Setting ) ] > [ ] on the touch panel.
33 Manual brightnes s adjustment ( [ ( Setting )] > [ (Brightness)] > [ ] on the touch panel ) To change the bright ness manually, t ap [ ( Mai n menu ) ] > [ ] or press the [ / ] buttons on the remote c ontrol. The image brightnes s does not automati cally change in respons e to the brightness of the s hooting environment.
34 ■ Turning the il lumination O N/OFF The upper light and the ba se light can be turned O N/OFF by tapping [ ( Main menu ) ] > [ ] [ ] on the touch panel. CAUTION • When you take a picture of a pers on, turn off the upper light. • Make sure that the li ght from the upper light does not s hine directly int o your eyes.
35 ■ Image selectio n You can switch t he input source either wit h the remote cont rol or from the Signal selec t screen displa yed by tapping [ ( Main menu ) ] > [ ] on the t ouch panel.

38 ■ Det ails of Each Functi on Highlight Function This is a function t o highlight a particular s ection of the image. Use this funct ion to draw attention to a s ection.
39 Setting operations You can change the dark ness of the highlight ed a rea by tapping [Highl ight] > [ ] [ ] while the highli ght function is activated. Also, by dragging the edg e of the highlighted area on the touch panel, you can change the size of the highlighted a rea.
40 Mask Function This is a function t o mask a section of an image. Mask operations When you tap [ ( Presentation ) ] > [ ] on the touch panel or the [ ] button on the rem ote control while the camera i mag e or the external input or the still image is di splayed, the mask eff ect is applied with t he darkness set previous ly.

78 3-2 Outputting a different image to RGB OUT and HDMI OUT This unit can output a different image to RGB_OUT and HDMI _OUT. While outputt ing a camera image to HD MI output terminal , this unit can outpu t the image o f one of either HDMI IN 1, HDMI IN 2, RGB IN 1, or RGB IN 2 to RGB out put terminal.
79 3-3 Saving data stored on an SD card to PC via USB cable By connecting t his equipment to a PC via USB , you can save the image dat a stored on the SD card to the PC. The operating s ystem (OS) for the connect ed PC should be Micros oft Windows XP (SP 2 or l ater), Windows Vist a, Windows 7 or Window s 8.

89 3-7 Using the ELMO W ireless Slate/Tablet (CRA-1) with the equ ipment By using the separat ely sold wireless pen t ablet with thi s equipment, you can add com ments or draw on camera images directly. You can also direc tly perform such operati ons as zooming in/ou t.
90 ■ Basic oper ations ● Drawing line s Touch the tip of t he pen to the surface of the t ablet and move the pen. If [ ] or [ ] has been selec ted, the pen will draw a li ne. Use this function t o draw/erase lines . ● Moving the cursor Move the pen slight ly above the surface of the tablet.
