K eep packaging materials at a safe distance from childr en. • Children ar e often unable to recognise the dangers involved with electrical appliances.
Operating instructions 8 • Small animals may gnaw at electrical power cables and water hoses. Danger of electrical shock and water damage! Keep small animals away from the washing machine. 2 Disposal Dispose of the packaging! Dispose of washing machine packaging materials properly .
Operating instructions 9 2 Envir onmental protection tips • No pre-wash is r equired for normally soiled washing. This saves you detergent, water and time (and is good for the environment!). • If the indicated load capacities are taken full advantage of, the wash- ing machine is especially efficient.

Operating instructions 11 Contr ol Panel Pr ogram Selector The progr am selector defines the nature of the washing cycle (e.g. water level, drum movement, number of rinses, spin speed) to suit the type of washing, as well as the wash temperatur e. I (OFF) Switches the washing machine off, the machine is switched on at all other positions.

P our about 1 litre of water through the deter gent drawer and into the washing machine. This is requir ed in order to seal the wash-water con- tainer so that the ECO valve can function pr operly .

Operating instructions 17 P erforming A Washing Cycle Brief Instructions A washing cycle is performed in the following steps: 0 1. Set the correct washing pr ogram: – select the progr am and the temperatur e with the program selector – select additional progr am(s) if requir ed 2.
Operating instructions 18 Setting the Washing Pr ogr am 3 See "Progr am Tables" for a suitable pr ogram, corr ect tempe ratur e and possible additional progr ams to suit the type of washing. 0 Set the pr ogram selector to the desired pr ogram and the desir ed temperatur e.
Operating instructions 19 Setting the Delay Timer 0 If necessary set the delay timer: press the b (DELA Y TIMER) button r epeat- edly until the desired time delay is displayed in the multi-display , for example 12h for a 12 hour delay start of the progr am.

Do not use furniture car e products or aggr essive cleansers for cleaning control panels and control elements. 0 Wipe control panels with a moist cloth. Use warm water . Deter gent drawer The detergent dr awer should be cleaned from time to time.
Operating instructions 27 Wa s h i n g dr u m The washing drum is made of rust-free stainless steel. Rusty objects in the washing drum may lead to rust deposits on the drum. Attention! Do not clean the stainless steel drum with acid containing decalci fying agen ts, abrasives containing chlorine or ir on, or steel wool.
Operating instructions 28 What to do when … 3 The somewhat different, in comparison to older wash- ing machines, whistling noise during spinning is due to the modern drive system. A rattling sound on startup – in p articular when using for the first t i me – is caused by the circulation pump and is due to the design.

Operating instructions 30 Washing is not spun properly , water is still visible in the drum. Fault code (2 is dis- played. Drain hose is kinked. Remove kink. Maximum pumping height (drain heigh t 1 m above the floor on which the machine is standing) exceeded.
Operating instructions 31 If the washing r esults are not satisfactory If the washing is grey and ther e are calcium deposits in the drum • Too little deter gent was used. • The wrong deter gent was used. • Special soiling was not pre-tr eated. • Progr am or temperatur e not set correctly .
Operating instructions 32 P erform emergency dr ain • If the washing machine no longer pumps out the water then an emergency dr ain must be performed. • If the washing machine is located in a room in which below fr eezing temperatur es might occur , emer ge ncy draining must be carried out if danger of freezing occur s.
Operating instructions 33 When the water is completely drained: 7. Press the end stop firmly back into the emer gency drain hose. 8. Push the emergency dr ain hose back in a little and allow it to snap into the mounting. 9. Put on the flap and close. 3 The ECO valve does not function when the machine has been fully emptied.

Operating instructions 35 Additional Rinse and/or W ater Cooling The washing machine is set up for extr e mely low water consumption. • For people who suffer from an aller gy to detergents, it can be useful to rinse with more water (addit ional rinse).

Once + Á (RINSE + ) has ceased to be illuminated, the additional rinse function is disabled.
