Positioning your project or 14 • The recommended focus range is from 1.5 ~ 8 meters (6 ~ 32 feet). • There is 3% ~ 5% tolerance among these nu mbers due to optical component variations.

U se the c orrect signal cable s for each so urce. 3. Ensure the cables are firmly inser ted. In the connections shown below , some cables are not inclu ded with the projector (see page 6 ).

Operation 17 Operation Star t up 1. Switc h all of the connect ed equipment on. 2. Plug the power cord in to th e proj ec tor an d into a wa ll socket. T u rn on the wall so ck et sw itch (where fitted). Check that the Pow e r i n d i c a to r on the proje ctor lights orange afte r power has been applied.

Operation 19 A djusting the image A djusting the height The projector is equipp ed with 1 quick- release adjuster foot and 2 rear adjuster feet. These adjusters c hange the image height and p roj ection angle. T o adjust the project or: 1. Lift the project or up and press the adjuster button to r elease the adjuster .
Operat ion 20 Correcting k eystone K eystonin g refers t o the situation wher e the project ed image is noticeab ly wider at either the top or bottom. It occurs when the projector is not p erpendicular to the sc reen.
Operation 21 S w itiching input sig nal The project or can be connect ed to mul tiple devices at the same time. T o sequential ly select input so urce s, press the Source button on the pr ojector control panel or the remot e control. The selected source will be displayed at the bottom ri ght of the screen for 3 seconds.
Operat ion 22 Shutdo w n 1. Press Pow e r and a warning message appears. Pr ess Po we r a second time to turn the projector off. 2. The P ower indicator light flashes orange and the lamp shuts do wn, the fans continue t o run for appro ximat ely 110 seconds t o cool down th e projector.

Operat ion 24 Us i n g t h e m e n u s The pr ojector is equipped with on-scr een disp lay (O SD) menus f or making various adjustments and settings. There are 10 diffe rent m enu language s. (Refer to page 29 for more d etails.) The followi ng example descri bes the adjustmen t of the keystone.

Operat ion 26 Brightness Adjusts the brightne ss of the image. The higher the valu e, the brighter the image. And lower the sett ing, darker the image . A djust this control so the black areas of the im age appear just as black and that detail in the dark areas is v isible.

Operat ion 28 3. Setting menu FUNCTION DESCRIPTION Mute Vo l u m e A djusts the volume level. OSD Time Sets the length of time the OSD will remai n active aft er your la st button press. The range is from 5 to 100 seconds. Reset R eturns all settings t o the factory preset va lues.
Operation 29 4. A dvance me nu FUNCTION DESCRIPTION Mirror The projector can be installed on a ceil ing or b ehind a screen, or w ith one or more mirrors. C ontact your dealer for the ceiling mount brack et (optional acc essor y) if y ou need to install the projector on y our ceiling.
Operat ion 30 5. Information menu This menu shows you the current operating s tatus of the projector. Some picture adjustments are available only when cert ain input ports are in use. Unavailable adjustment s are not shown on the screen. Economic Mode U se this m ode to reduce system noise and redu ce power c onsumpti on by 20%.
Maintenance 31 M aintenanc e Care of the pr oje ctor Y our proj ector needs l ittle maint enance. The only thing you need to do on a regula r basis is to keep the lens clean. Nev er remo ve an y parts of the pr ojector ex cept t he lamp. Contact y our dealer if other parts needs replacin g.
Maintenance 32 Lamp information W arning message When the Lamp indicator lights up r ed or a message appears suggesting it is time t o replac e the lamp , please install a ne w lamp or consul t your deale r . An old lamp ma y cause a malfunction in the project or and in some instances the lamp may break.
Maintenance 33 Step 1. T urn the power off and disconnect the projector f rom the wall socket. Step 2. T ur n the projector over . Then loosen the screws and remov e the lamp co ver . If the lamp is hot, avoid burns by waiting for 45 minutes until the lamp has coo led .
