Introducti on 9 Re mote Control Effectiv e Range Infra Red (IR) remote co ntrol sensors are located on the front and the back of the projector . The remot e control must be held at an angle within 30 degrees of the pr ojector’ s IR remote control sensors to function correctly .

Installation 14 A djusting the H eight The proj ector is eq uipped with 1 quick-r elease adjus ter foot and 2 rear adjus ter feet. The se adjusters change t he image height and proj ection angle. T o adjust the pr ojector , 1. Lift the pr ojector up and press the adjuster button to releas e the adjuster .

Operat ion 16 Operation Start U p 1. Switc h all of the connect ed equipmen t on. 2. Plug the po wer cor d into the pr ojector a nd into a wall sock et. 3. T urn on the wall socket switc h (where fitt ed). 4. Press and hold Pow e r on the re mote cont rol or proje ctor to st art the unit .
Operation 17 Shut do w n 1. Press Pow e r and a warn- ing message appears. Press Pow e r a second time to turn the pr ojector off. 2. The Pow e r i n d i c a t o r l i g h t flashes orange and the lamp shuts down, the fans continue t o run for approximately 90 sec- onds to cool do wn th e projector .
Operat ion 18 Digital K eystone C orrectio n K eystonin g refers t o the situation wher e the projecte d image is noticeably wider at either the top or bottom. It occurs when the projector is not p erpendicula r to the screen. T o correct this, you can perform the following steps.
Operation 19 Sourc e Selection T o sequentially select input sources, press the Sourc e key on th e p ro je c tor con t ro l panel or the remote control.
Operat ion 20 Blank In order to draw the audience’ s fu ll attention to the pr esenter , you can use Blank to hide the screen i mage. Pr ess Blank again t o restor e the image. A wor d “ BLANK ” appear at the bott om rig ht corner of the screen when the image is hidden.

Operat ion 22 Us i n g t h e Me n u s The pr ojector is equipped with on-scr een disp lay (O SD) menus f or making various adj ust- ments and settings. There ar e 10 diffe rent men u language s. (Refer to page 27 for more d etails.) The followi ng example descri bes the adjustmen t of the keystone.

One of the common methods of representing white color is known as the “c olor temperature” . A white color with a low color te mperature appear s to be r eddish white.

Maintenance 30 Lamp Informatio n W arning Message When the Lamp indicator lights up r ed or a message appears suggesting it is time to replac e the lamp , please in stall a new lamp o r cons ult your dealer . An old lamp may cause a mal- function in the projector and in some instances the lam p may br eak.
Maintenance 31 Step 1. T urn the power off and disconnect the projector f rom the wall socket. Step 2. T urn the projector over . Then loosen the scre ws and rem ove t he l am p cover. If the lamp is hot, avoi d burns by waiting for 45 minut es until the lamp has coo led .
Maintenance 32 Te m p I n f o r m a t i o n When the T emper ature warning light is on, it is warning you of the following p ossible prob- lems: 1. The intern al temperature is too hig h. 2. The fa ns are not working. T u rn the pr ojector off and contact q ualif ied service personnel for further help.
Maintenance 33 Lamp events -- It is warning y ou that lamp usage has ex ceeded 2000 / 3000 (Economic mode ) hours. Replace the project ion lamp w ith a new one immediat ely . -- The lamp is not properly attache d or the lamp is da maged. Please contact your dealer for assistanc e.
