CONTENTS & INTRODUCTION BEFORE USING THE HOB Make sure that you ha ve removed all packaging,wrappings,stick ersandlms from the hob surface. It is recommended that you clean and wash the hob surface bef ore using for the rsttime.
SAFETY 5.160 BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT Make sure that you ha ve removed all packaging and wrapping. Some of the items inside this appliance may have additional wrapping. GENERAL WARNING! - The appliance and its accessible parts become hot during use. Care should be taken to avoid touching heating elements.

6.220 USING THE HOB About the induction hob The induction hob provides the most en- ergyefcienthobtechnologyav ailable. The induction system provides superior heat up and cool down times for pans - you get fast, precise, r epeatable power control.
6.220 USING THE HOB Induction controls Power Boost This feature, tempor arily boost the power to a cook zone by 60%. The power boost is a function that can be used to temporally boost the normal maximum power for a cook zone by bor - rowing the av ailable power from a “paired zone” .

6.220 USING THE HOB Child Lock This feature is to help prev ent accidental switching on of the hob, especially by young children. T o activate: Press the key lock button and pause button together , and then release them. Complete activation by pr essing the pause button again.

CLEANING ELECTRIC HOB Ceramic glass hobs • The ceramic hob top can be cleaned using a clean, damp cloth or kitchen paper . Do not use a used dishcloth orspongeastheycanleavealmof detergent on the surface which can lead to discoloration.
INSTALLATION • W e recommend that you install this appliance in a work top which is a minimum 38mm deep. • Thehobcanbettedintoaworktop less than 38mm deep, but the 20mm gap between hob base and appliance or cabinet partition must be main- tained.
INSTALLATION Clearances and dimensions – re- quirements 1. No shelf or overhang of combus- tible material should be closer than 650mm above the hob. 2. There must be a minimum clearance of 50mm between the edges of the hob and any side walls; this clear ance must be maintained up to 420mm above the worktop.
INSTALLATION Protecting the cut-out; The types of chipboard used for work surfaces swell relatively quickly in contact with humidity . Apply a special varnish or adhesiv e to the cut edge to protect it from steam or condensation which may form under the work surface under the hob.
