7 English MHL Feature Introduction When your sm artphone is connected to the projecto r, you can use some buttons on the remote control to control yo ur smartphone.
8 English Getting Started Connecting the Projector Note: To ensure the projector works well with your comp uter, please make sure the timing of the display mode is compatible with the projector. Note: Some smartphones require a converter (supplied by the smartphone maker) to en able the MHL function.
9 English Turning the Projector On/Off Turning On the Projector 1 Ensure that the power co rd an d signal cabl e ar e securely connected. The Power LED will ligh t red. 2 Turn on the project or by pressing (POWER) on the control p anel or remote control, and the Power indicator LED will turn blue.
10 English Turning Off the Projector 1 To turn the projector off, press the power button. This message appears: "Please press power button again to complete the shutdown process" Press the power button again. 2 The LED Power indicator will turn solid red to indicate standby mode.
11 English Adjusting the Projected Image Adjusting the Height of the Projected Image The projector is equipped with two elevator feet for adju sting the image height. To raise the i mage: 1 Use the front Tilt adjusting wheel to raise th e image to the desired height and angle .
12 English How to Optimize Image Size and Distance Consult the table below to find the optimal im age sizes achievable when the projector is positioned at a desired distance from the screen. • SVGA/XGA If the projector is 3 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes between 72" and 79".
13 English • WXGA If the projector is 3 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes between 84" and 93". Note: Remind as below figure, the space of 125 cm height is required when the projector is located at 3 m distance.
14 English How to Get a Preferred Image Size by Adjusting Distance and Zoom The table below shows how to ach ieve a desired image size b y adjusting either the position or the zoom ring. • SVGA/XGA To obtain an image size of 70", set the projector at a distance b etween 2.
15 English • WXGA To obtain an image size of 70" set the projector at a distance b etween 2.3 m and 2.5 m from the screen and adjust the zoo m level accordingly. 16 English User Controls Installation Menu The Installation menu provides an On screen Display (O SD) for projector installation a nd ma inte nance. Use the OS D on ly when the message "No signal" is displayed on the screen. 1 Turn on the projector by pres sing (POWER) on the control panel or remote control.
17 English Onscreen Display (OSD) Menus The projector has multilin gual Onscreen Display (OSD) menus that allow you to make i mage adjustments an d change a variety of settings. Using the OSD menus • To open the OSD menu, press "MENU" on the control p anel or remote control.
18 English Color Display Mode There are many factory presets optimized for various types of images. • Bright: For br ightness optimizati on. • Presentation: For meeting presentation with higher brightness . • Standard: For common envir onment. • Movie: For brighter and general m ovie/video/photo playing .
19 English Note: "Saturation" and "Tint" functi ons are n ot supported under computer mode. Tint Adjusts the color balance of red and green. • Press to increase the amou nt of green in the image. • Press to increase the amount of red in the image.
20 English Image Projection • Front-Desktop: The factory default setting. • Front-Ceili ng: When you select this functio n, the projector inverts the image for ceiling-m ounted projectio n. • Rear-Desktop: When you select this function, the projector reverses the image so that you can project behind a translucent screen.
21 English Keystone Manually adjusts image distortion caused by tilting projection (±40 degrees). This function is unavailab le when Auto Keystone is s et to "On". Manual Keystone Sharpness Adjusts the sharpness of the image. • Press to decrease the sharpness.
22 English Note: "H. Position", "V. Position", "Frequency" and "Tracking" functions are not supported under vi deo mode.
23 English VGA OUT (Standby) Selecting "On" enables the function. The projector can outp ut a VGA signal when it is in standby mode an d the VGA IN (or VGA IN 1) and VGA OUT sockets a re correctly connected to the devices . Enabling this function slightly increases the sta ndby power consumption.
24 English User Password • Press to set up or change "User Passwor d". • Use the numerical keys on the remote control to set the password and press "MENU" to confirm. • To delete the digits, Press . • Enter the password again when you see "Confirm Password" displayed.
25 English Management Audio ECO Mode Choose "On" to dim the pro jector lamp, which will also lower the power consum ption, reduce noise, and extend the lamp life. Choose "Off" to return to the normal mode. High Altitude Choose "On" to turn on th e High Altitude mod e.
26 English 3D Note: Supported 3D signal timings: It needs correct settings on grap hics card 3D application program for correct 3D display. The SW players, such as Stereo scopic Player and DDD TriDef Media Playe r can support 3D format files. Yo u can download these players on the web page below.

33 English Replacing the Lamp Use a screwdriver to remove the screw(s) from the cover, and then pull out the lamp. The projector will detect the lamp life itself. It will show you a warning message "Lamp is approach ing the end of its usefu l life in full powe r operation.
34 English Ceiling Mount Installation If you wish to install the projector using a ce iling mount, please refer to the steps below: 1 Drill four holes into a solid, structurally sound part of the ceiling, and secure the mount base. Note: Screws are not included.
35 English 3 Use the appropriate number of screws for the projector size to attach the projector to the ceiling mount bracket. Note: It is recommended that you keep a reasonable space between the bracket and the projector to allow fo r proper heat distribution.
