8 English Getting Started Connecting the Projector Note: To ensure the projector works well with your computer, please make sure the timi ng of the display mode i s compatible with the projector.
9 English Turning the Projector On/Off Turning on the Projector 1 Remove the lens cap.(Illustration #1) 2 Ensure that the power cord and sign al cable are securely connected. The Power indicator LED will flash red. 3 Turn on the p rojector by pressing " Po wer " button on the control panel, and the Power indicator LED will turn blue.
10 English Turning the projector off 1 To turn the projector off, press the power button. This me ssage appears: "Please press the power button again to complete the shutdown process.
11 English Adjusting the Projected Image Adjusting the Height of Projected Image The projector is equipped with tilt adju sting wheels for adjusting the height of image. To raise/lower the image: 1 Use Tilt adjusting wheels to fine-tune the display angle.
12 English How to optimize image size and distance Consult the table below to find the optimal im age sizes achievable when the projector is positioned at a de sired di stance from the screen. Example: If the projector is 2.5 m from the screen, good im age quality is possible for image sizes between 51" and 62".

14 English How to get a preferred image size by adjusting distance and zoom The table below shows how to ach ieve a desired image size b y adjusting either the position or the zoom ring. For example: to obtain an image size of 60" set the projector at a distance 2.

16 English User Controls Installation menu The installation menu provides an on screen display (OSD) for projector installation and maintenance. Use the OSD only when the message "No signal input" is displayed on the screen.
17 English Acer Empowering Technology Acer Empowering Key provide four Acer uniqu e functions, they are "Acer eView Management", "Acer eTimer Managem ent", "Acer ePower Management" and "Acer e3D Ma nagement respectively.
18 English Onscreen Display (OSD) Menus The projector has multilingual OSD that allow you to make image adjustments and change a variety of settings. Using the OSD menus • To open the OSD menu, press "MENU" on the remote control or control panel.
19 English Color Display Mode There are many factory pr esets optimized for various types of images. • Bright: For brig htness optimizati on. • Presentation: For meeting presentation. • Standard: For common environment. • Video: For playing vi deo in a bright environm ent.

23 English Security Security This projector provides a useful se curity function for the administrator to manage usage o f the projector . Press to change the "Secur ity" setting. If the security function is enabled, yo ur must ente r the "Ad ministrator P assword" first before changin g the se curity settin gs.
24 English Administrator Password The "Administrator Password" can be used in both the "Enter Administrator Pas sword" and "Enter Pas sword" dialog boxes . • Press t o change the "Administrator Password". • The factory default of "Admini strator Password " is "1234".
25 English Management Audio ECO Mode Choose "On" to dim the pro jector lamp which will lower p ower consumption, extend the lam p life and reduce noise. Cho ose "Off" to return n ormal mode. High Altitude Choose "O n" to turn on High Altit ude mode.

33 English Cleaning and replacing the dust filters Cleaning the dust filters Clean the dust filters after every 1000 hours of use. If they are note cleaned periodically, they can become clogged with dust, preventing proper ventilatio n. This can cause overheating and da mage the projector.
34 English Replacing the Lamp Use a screwdriver to remove the screw(s) from the cover, and then pull out the lamp. The projector will detect the lamp life. You will be shown a warning message " Lamp is approach ing the end of its useful life in full po wer operation.
35 English To Change the Lamp 1 Turn off the projector by pressing the power button. 2 Allow the projector at least 30 mins to cool down. 3 Disconnect th e power cord. 4 Open the screw covers on both side s of the projector. (Illustration #1) 5 Remove the two screws on both sides of the projector at the same time.
36 English Ceiling Mount Installation If you wish to install the projector using a ce iling mount, please refer to the steps below: 1 Drill four holes into a solid, structurally sound part of the ceiling, and secure the mount base. Note: Screws are not included.
37 English 3 Use the appropriate number of screws for the projector size to attach the projector to the ceiling mount bracket. Note: It is recommende d that you keep a reasonable space between the bracket and the projector to allow fo r proper heat distribution.
