7 English Getting Started Connecting the Projector Note: To ensure the projector works well with your comp uter, please make sure the timing of the display mode is compatible with the projector.
8 English Turning the Projector On/Off Turning On the Projector 1 R emove the lens cap. 2 Ensure that the power co rd and signal cable ar e securely connected. The Power LED will ligh t red. 3 Turn on the projector by pressing (POWER) on the contr ol panel or remote control, and the Power indicator LED will turn blue.
9 English Turning Off the Projector 1 To turn the projector off, press the power button. This message appears: "Please press the power button again to complete the shutdown process.
10 English Adjusting the Projected Image Adjusting the Height of the Projected Image The projector is equipped with an elevator foot for adjusting the image height. To raise the imag e: 1 Press the elevator button. 2 R aise the image to the desired height angle, then release the bu tton to lock the elevator foot into position.
11 English How to Optimize Image Size and Distance Consult the table below to find the optimal im age sizes achievable when the projector is positioned at a desired distance from the screen. • P5205 If the projector is 3 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes between 75" and 98".
12 English • S5200 If the projector is 3 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes around 242". Note: Remind as below figure, the space of 424 cm height is required when located at 3 m distance.
13 English How to Get a Preferred Image Size by Adjusting Distance and Zoom The table below shows how to ach ieve a desired image size by adjustin g either the position or the zoom ring. • P5205 To obtain an image size of 50" set the projector at a distance b etween 1.

15 English User Controls Installation Menu The installation menu provides an on screen display (OSD) for projector installation a nd ma inte nance. Use the OSD on ly when the message "No signal input" is disp layed on the screen. 1 Turn on the projector by pressing (POWER) on the contr ol panel or remote control.
16 English Acer Empowering Technology Empowering Key Acer Empowering Key provides three Acer unique functions: "Acer eView Management", "Acer eTimer Management", and "Acer ePower Management". Press " " for more than one second to launch th e Onscreen Display main menu to modify its function.
17 English Onscreen Display (OSD) Menus The projector has multilin gual Onscreen Display (OSD) menus that allow you to make i mage adjustments an d change a variety of settings. Using the OSD menus • To open the OSD menu, press "MENU" on the control p anel or remote control.
18 English Color Display Mode There are many factory presets optimized for various types of images. • Bright: For br ightness optimization . • Standard: For common envir onment. • Video: For pla ying video i n a bright en vironment. • Picture: For graphic picture.
19 English Note: "Saturation" and "Tint" fun ctions are not supported und er computer, or HDMI (PC) mode. Image Color G Adjusts the green color. Color B Adjusts the blue color. Saturation Adjusts a video image from black and white to fully saturated colors.
20 English • Rear-Ceiling: When you select this fun ction, the projector reverses an d inverts the image at same time. You can projec t from behind a translucen t screen with ceiling mounted projec tion. Aspect Ratio Use this function to choose your desired aspect ratio.
21 English Note: "H. Position", "V. Position", "Frequency" and " Tracking" functions are not supported under vi deo mode. Note: "Sharpness" function is not supported under com puter mode. Note: The 3D function is support ed by VGA source only.
22 English Setting Menu Location Chooses the OSD menu locati on on the display screen. Source Lock When this function is turned off, the projector will search for other signals if the current inpu t signal is lost.
23 English Timeout (Min.) Once "Security" is set to "On", you can set timeout function. • Press to select timeout duration. • The range is from 10 to 990 minutes. • When time is up, the projector will request you to enter the password again.
24 English Administrator Password You can enter "Administrator Password" when the "Enter Administrator Password" or "Enter Password" dialogue box displays. • Press to change "Administrator Password". • The factory default of "Administrator Password" is "1234".
25 English Note 1 : An overview of the re mote networ k operation page LAN Setting To connect your projector to the network: 1 Take a RJ45 cable and co nnect one end to the LAN inpu t jack of the projector and the oth er end to the RJ45 port. 2 Select LAN in this menu a nd press to select "On".
26 English Note 2 : An overview of the Tools page Note 3: The Info page shows the projector infor mation and status. Management ECO Mode Choose "On" to dim the pro jector lamp, which will also lower the power consum ption, reduce noise, and extend the lamp life.
27 English Audio High Altitude Choose "On" to turn on th e High Altitude mod e. When this function is turned on, the projector fans operate at full speed continuously to co ol down the projector’s temperature.
28 English Timer Language Timer Location Sets the location of the timer on the screen. Timer Start (or Stop) Press to start or stop the timer. Timer Period (Minutes) Press to adjust the timer period. Timer Volume Select this function to ad just the notification volume when the timer function is enabled and time is up.

30 English 3 Partial, s crolling or incorrectly displayed image (For notebooks) • Press "RESYNC" on the contr ol panel or remote control. • For an incorrectly displaye d image: • Follow the steps for item 2 (above) to adjust the resolution of your computer.

34 English Replacing the Lamp Use a screwdriver to remove the screw(s) from the cover, an d then pull out the lamp. The projector will detect the lamp life itself. It will show you a warning message "Lamp is approach ing the end of its useful life in full powe r operation.
35 English Ceiling Mount Installation If you wish to install the projector using a ce iling mount, please refer to the steps below: 1 Drill four holes into a solid, structurally sound part of the ceiling, and secure the mount base. Note: Screws are not included.
36 English 3 Use the appropriate number of screws for the projector size to attach the projector to the ceiling mount bracket. Note: It is recommended that you keep a reasonable space between the bracket and the projector to allow fo r proper heat distribution.
