6 US Insert two R6 (size-AA) batteries into the battery compartment with t he + and – co rrectly oriented to the markings. When using the remote, po int it at the remote se nsor on the play er. Tip Under norm al cond iti ons, the batter ie s shou ld last for about si x months.
Getting Started 7 US Note There are 5CH, 4CH, and 3CH Sup er Audio CD. When you play these disc s, the signal d oes not o utput from all the jacks of the ANALOG 5.1CH OUT. For details of the pl ayback, s ee the c over or i nstructio ns of th e Super Audio CD.

10 US 3 Press l AMS L (or EN TER on the remote). The cu rr en t defaul t la yer appe ars. 4 Turn l AMS L (o r press ./> on the rem ote) to select th e desired playback layer.

12 US Turning off the information in the di spla y Press DISP LAY MODE on the remote. Each time you press the button while playing a disc, th e di s play tur ns off and on altern at ely. Even when the display is tur ned off, it will turn on whe n certai n b uttons ar e presse d, and th en turn o ff agai n after a few sec onds.
Play ing Di scs 13 US You can locate a particula r poin t in a track dur ing pl ay o r play paus e. Tip When “OVER” app ears in the displ ay, the disc has reache d its end. Press and hol d m to go back. Note Tracks th at are on ly a fe w seconds long ma y be too short for mon itor i ng.

Play ing Di scs 15 US Notes • If you turn off the player, discon nect the power cord, press A OPEN/CLOSE on the player , or switch the playba ck layer o r area, t he program will be erased.
