5 Feat ure s Chapter 1 Overview Features The DSR-180 0/1800P is a 1 / 4 -inch digit al video casset te recorder using the DVCAM di gital recording fo rmat. It achieves st able, superb pi cture qual ity by digi tally processin g video sig nals separated in to color difference signals an d luminance sig nals (component method).
6 Feat ure s Chapter 1 Ov er view Suppor t for three cassette sizes There are two sizes o f DVCAM cassette: standard and mini. You can u se either siz e w ith this unit.
7 Feat ure s Chapter 1 Ov er view At search speeds up t o 10 times normal speed in b oth directi ons, you can also hea r playbac k audio. Digital slo w-motion pla ybac k Using the frame memory func tion, th e unit can show noise-free sl ow-motion playback at speeds rangi ng from 0 to 1 / 2 times normal speed in both direc tions.

21 Usable Ca ssettes Chapter 2 Recording and Playback Usable Cassett es This unit can use the DVCAM cassettes listed below. The numbers in e ach model name ind icate the maximum record ing/playback time (in minut es) for each model. For exa mple, the PDV-184ME has a maximum r ecording/play back time of 1 84 minutes.
