Insert the Software CD to your CD- ROM driver and click Install Surveillance System to continue.

The system will show the inst allation status. Click Finish . Repeat the same procedure until all the audio drivers have been completely installed.

Y ou can select “Desktop Lock” to lock the tool tray on desktop to avoid unauthorized users using hot keys (Ctrl + Alt + Del) or to shut down the DVR application.

Chapter 3 Configuring the System 80 3 Enable Audio: For NV1000/3000/5000 users, select an audio channel to map the video channel if you want to monitor and re cord the audio of this appointed channel with video. NV1000/3000/5000 system allows 4 audio channels.

Chapter 3 Configuring the System 82 NV 7000 only supports MPEG4 compression format. 9 Mask/Shield Edit T ick Shield or Mask box according to your demands. 10 Mask: T ick Mask box to enable t his function. Y ou can tick “ Show Mask ” and select a color .

The icon will return to gray . 3.2.4 Network Setting Click to start the networking configuration. T r ansmitting Ca meras T ransmitting cameras allow users to monito r remotely .
AVerMedia NV1000/3000/5000/7000 Use r’s Manual Enable Handy View: The system provides “Handy Vi ew” function to enable remote users to use a PDA or a mobile phone for remote monitor . Select the item, Enable Handy View , to enable remote users to connect the DVR server b y PDA or mobile phone.
Chapter 3 Configuring the System 86 3.2.5 Schedule Setting Click to setup Schedule. Y ou can schedule recording, backup or r eboot schedule by day or by period. Click or to adjust to a proper month. The system will mark the present date. Y ou will see a drop-down list on the upper right place.
AVerMedia NV1000/3000/5000/7000 Use r’s Manual recording mode you set for each camera. That means, even if you have set the camera to “ Motion Recordi ng ” mode , the cameras will still start “ Always recording” mode at the scheduled time. Click Save to store the schedule setting of this t ask.
Chapter 3 Configuring the System 88 Reboot: If you s elect Reboot as the task, the system will reboot at the appointed time. Once it reboots the system successfully , the s ystem will not reboot again in the same hour . Click Save to store the schedule setting of this t ask.
AVerMedia NV1000/3000/5000/7000 Use r’s Manual Enable Network: When you select Network and set a schedule in Sched ule Setting , the system will allow inbound connections to monitor remotely during the appointed period of time. After the appoint ti me, the connection service will be stopped.
Chapter 3 Configuring the System 90 Disable Alarm: The Disable Alarm will disable the alarm function temporarily during the assigned period of time. Users can fully use this function and avoid unnecessary alarms during specific time. After the appointed time, the alarm function will execute automatically as it is configured.
AVerMedia NV1000/3000/5000/7000 Use r’s Manual Y ou can onl y set future dates for a sched ule. Dates in the past are not accepted. One Time: When you select One T ime as a single schedule unit, it means the system executes the recording only one time during the appointed hours.
Chapter 3 Configuring the System 92 3.2.6 Backup Setting Click to backup the recording files. The Backup Setting dialog will appear . 1. Calendar Choose a backup date. The circled date is consistent with the system date. 2. Backup files Information Selected Files: Blue blocks mean that there are video recording data during the period of time.

Af ter backup files are selected, the system will calculate the f ile quantities and required space automatically , and show the results on the screen.

Click to finish the setting or click to cancel the setting. After finish configuring sensors and rela ys, you can go to Alarming Setting to set alarms.
