Page 10 5 1 0 REVERSIBLE See Figure 2. This tool has the f eature of being rev ersible . The direction of rotation is controlled by a selector located abo v e the s witch trigger . With the dr ill held in normal operating position, the direction of rotation selector should be positioned to the left of the s witch for drilling.
Page 11 INSTALLING BITS See Figures 4 and 5. ■ Lock the switch trigger by placing the direction of rotation selector in center position. See Figure 9. ■ Open or close chuck jaws to a point where the opening is slightly larger than the bit size you intend to use.
Page 12 20 20 ADJUSTABLE TORQUE CLUTCH See Figure 6. When using your drill-driver f or various driving applications, it becomes necessary to increase or decrease the torque in order to help pre v ent the possibility of damaging screw heads , threads , workpiece, etc.

CHARGING YOUR DRILL-DRIVER The battery pack for this tool has been shipped in a low charge condition to prevent possible problems.
Page 14 20 5 1 0 OPERA TION Fig. 10 Fig. 9 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RECHARG- ING HOT BATTERIES When using your drill-driver continuously, the batteries be- come hot. You should let the batteries cool down for approxi- mately 30 minutes before attempting to recharge.
Page 15 OPERA TION VARIABLE SPEED See Figure 9. Your drill has a variable speed feature in the switch. The switch delivers higher speed and torque with increased trigger pressure. Speed is controlled by the amount of switch trigger depression. W ARNING: Alwa ys wear saf ety goggles or safety glasses with side shields when operating tool.
