About this microwa ve oven Microw av es are high-frequenc y electr omagnetic wa ves similar to radio wa ves. Wh ile radio wa ves may vary in length from one metre to many kilometres, micr owa ves are very short (less than 12 .5 centimetres). Microw av es do not mak e any heat themselves but only cause water molecules in f ood to vibrate.
Unpacking your microw av e oven Bef ore you use your micr owa ve oven 1. Remove all the packaging. Do not remove the small piece of car d from the right hand side of the c a vity wall. This is called a wa ve-guide cover and allows the microw av es to pass through to cook the f ood.
Saf ety instructions Do not use the ove n fo r any reason other than pre paring f ood, such as for drying clothes, pap er or any other non-food it ems, or for s terilising purposes. ➢ Do not use the oven when it is em pty . This could damage the ov en.
Saf ety instructions ➢ Heat from the cont ents of a cont ainer may be transmi tted to the contai ner itself , so please be car eful when removing it from the oven. Please remember that the fo od or liquid inside will be r eleasing some s team or will be spi tting.
Saf ety instructions ➢ Food c ontai ning a mix ture of fa t and w ater (f or ex ample, stock) should s tan d for 30 to 60 seconds in the oven afte r it has been tur ned off . This is to allow the mixture to settle and to pr event it fr om bubbling when a spoon is placed in it, or a stock cube is added.
Saf ety instructions To reduce the risk of fire in the oven cavity: ➢ Do not overcook food. ➢ Do not leave the microwave oven unattended while you are usin g it and if using paper or plastic containers check regu larly to ensure they do not ignite.

Microwa ve oven installation ➢ Select a level surfac e that provides enough space for the outlet vents. ➢ A minimum clear ance of 7.5 cm is required between the oven and an y adjacent walls. One side must be open. Leav e a minimum clearance of 30 cm above the oven.

11 T urn t able ins tallation ➢ Before first use, check that any securing tape has been removed from the g lass tray and turntable ring assembly. These parts must nev er be restri cted from rotating. ➢ Never place the g lass tray up side down. ➢ Both the glass tray a nd turntable ring assemb ly must always be used durin g cooking.
Control panel 12 DISPLAY Cooking time, power, action indicators, and clock time are displayed. POWER LEVEL Press thi s button a number of times to set a cooking power level. AUTO COOK Press thi s button fo r easy cooking menus. GRILL/COMBINATION Press this button a number of times to set a cooking program.
How to use the microwa ve oven 13 Connect the main plug into a suitable 13 amp mains socket, make sure the voltage is the same as on the rating label (do not use extens ion cab les or mains socket adaptors). The microwave oven will beep once and the display will show the clock symbol and ,’1:01’.
Cooking 14 The longest cooking tim e is 60 minutes. To cook with microwave power alone, press the ‘POWER/LEVEL’ button a number of times to select a cooking power level, and then use the ‘WEIGHT/DEFROST/TIM E’ dial to set a desired cooking time.
15 Quick start coo king This program allo ws you to cook food at 100% power between 30 seconds and 1 2 minutes by pressing the 'Start Quick Start' knob directly. For example if you want to cook food for 2 minutes. 1. Place the food in a container suitable for use with microwave ov ens and put it in to the microwave oven.
16 Auto menu s There are 9 auto menus you can use for easy cooking. To access the menus, press the 'Auto Cook' button. For guide lines, please see the Au to menus chart on page 10. 1. Place the food in a container suitable for use with microwave ov ens, and put it into the oven.
17 Cooking Auto menu Food Weights Recommendations 1 Milk/Coffee 1-200ml, 2-400ml, 3-600ml Place the cup onto the center of the turntable. When the liqui d has been removed from the oven, leave to stan d before adding sugar. 2 Rice 150g, 300g, 450g, 600g Place the rice in to a suitable container, cover with water.
18 Cooking Grill/Combin ation Grill This progr am al lows you to grill food b etween 10 seconds and 60 minutes by pressing the 'Grill/Combinati on' button directly. For example if you want to grill food for 2 minutes. 1. Place the food onto the g rill rack if you want.
19 Cooking Combination The oven has the ability to combine the microwave and gril l.. There are 2 combination settings 'Comb1' and Comb2'. Combination 1 has 30% microwave cooking time and 70% grilling time while combination 2 has 55% microwave cooking time and 45% grillin g time.
20 Cooking To choose Combination 2: 5. Place the food in a container suitable for use with microwave ovens and put it onto the rack. 6. Press the 'Grill/Combination ' button three times. 'Comb2' will ligh t up and the 'Start‘ symbol will flash.
21 Cooking Weight defrost (using the 'Weight/Time' knob) Weight defrost allows yo u to set the food weight and let the oven decide how long the food will take to defrost. You can defrost foods between 100g and 1800g. For example, to defrost '400g' of food.
22 Timer and child saf ety loc k Kitchen timer The kitchen timer is used to s et a countdown time for the conveni ence of the user, it can be u sed as a reminder. 1. Press the 'Power Level' button until the disp lay shows 00 %. 2. Turn the 'Weigh t/Defrost/Time' knob to the length of time required.
Cleaning and c are ➢ Bef ore y ou clean the oven, turn it off and unplug it. ➢ Keep the insi de of the oven clean. When f ood or liqui ds stick to the oven walls, w ipe with a damp cloth. We recommend that y ou do not use harsh det ergent or abr asives.
Cleaning and c are ➢ Regularly remove the glass turntable to clean it, and wash it in w arm soap y w ater . ➢ Regularly clean the turn table support and oven floor . Simply wipe the bottom surf ace of the ove n with mild det erg ent and w ater , then dry .
Important utensil inf or mation ➢ Do not use metal pans or dishes with metal handles. ➢ Do not use anything with a metal trim. ➢ Do not use paper cov ered wire twis t-ties on plastic bags. ➢ Do not use melamin e dishes as they con tain a material w hich will absorb microwa ve energy .
