7 A note on the type of energy used by your Microwave Oven Microwaves are electromagnetic waves that transmit energy. When cooking, the microwave energy penetrates food to a depth of 4cm (1½ inches), causing its molecules to vibrate. The heat produced by this friction enables food to be heated, cooked or defrosted.

10 PLEASE REMEMBER: NOT AL L FOODS AND UTENSILS ARE SUITABLE for use in MICROWAVE OVENS. FOODS THAT MUST NEVER BE MICROWAVED: Eggs in their shell or whole hard-boiled eggs since they may explode, even after your Microwave has stopped heating them.
11 You can reduce the chances of this happening further by 1. Avoiding using straight-sided containers with narrow necks. 2. Not overheating. 3. Stirring the liquid before placing th e container in the oven and again halfway through the heating time. 4.

15 N N o o t t e e s s o o n n M M i i c c r r o o w w a a v v i i n n g g F F o o o o d d Your Baumatic Microwave Oven features a Grilling and Combination mode. In grilling, heat comes from an element set in the ceiling. This is pa rticularly suitable for toas ting & grilling (eg.
16 U U s s i i n n g g y y o o u u r r M M i i c c r r o o w w a a v v e e O O v v e e n n 1) First choose a Power Level and then set the time you need to cook for. 1 To set the Cooking Power you’d like to use, you need to press the ‘ ’ button one or more times.
17 2) When you have selected the power level you would like to cook with, you can then set the time by turning the ‘ ’ knob. 3) Then press the ‘ ’ button to start cooking. Example To get your Microwave to cook for 20 minutes at 80% power: 1) Press the ‘ ’ key twice to select 80% microwave power.
18 Speedy cooking • You can use the Speedy cooking function anytime that your Microwave is not already running (i.e. when it is not cooking). • Simply turn ‘ ’ to select how long you want to cook your food. • Press ‘ ’ to start cooking food.
19 Auto cook - This feature means that you can cook six types of foods by simply pressing the ‘Auto Function’ button once or several times. *(See the table at the bottom of thi s page to select the food you want to cook and press the ‘Auto Function’ b utton until you match your food type).
20 Delay Start – This feature allows you to set your Microwave to cook at a future point. 1) To cook using the DELAY START function, you need to set the cooking program first, then set the time you want cooking to begin. For Example: You want to set cooking a pizza using auto function at 11:30.
21 Cancel / Stop 1) If your Microwave Oven is running, press ‘Cancel/Stop’ to pause it. Press ‘Start’ to continue operating. Press ‘Cancel/Stop’ twice to stop operating. 2) Before setting a program, press ‘Cancel/Stop’ to cancel previous cooking programs.
22 Child-lock Function To prevent children from using your Microwave Oven, do the following: To Lock : Press ‘ ’ and ‘ ’ together until you hear a long ‘beep’.
23 Cleaning Note : never use abrasive cleaning substances or coarse cle aning materials to clean your Microwav e. Your Microwave re quires a minimum of maintenance. Remember that after yo u clean the turntable and its ring assembly, you must place them corr ectly otherwise your Microwave will not work proper ly.

My drinks, soups and liquids are spurting up from their containers! Your food/drink has boiled over Use a larger utensil than usual.
