iv Paperless Fax Transmission You can send a file by fax without printing it. Transmission You can send a fax from your computer over the network (Ethernet, IEEE 1394 (IPv4 over 1394), or wireless LAN) to this machine, which then forwards the fax via its telephone co nnection (LAN-Fax).
v Fax Transmission and Rece ption Through the Internet You can send fax documents via e-mail by specifying the recipient's e -mail ad- dress (Internet Fax Transmission). You can receive sent documents via Internet Fax, or from computers (Internet Fax Recepti on).

Control Panel Angle Adjustment Button By pressing th e control pa nel angle adju stment butt on, you can adjust the ti lt of the control panel.

Getting Started 28 1 Saving Energy This machine has the followi ng energy savin g function. ❖ Auto off This machine automatically enters Sl eep Mode and reduces its power con- sumption if you do no t use it for a wh ile. This function is called “Auto off”.
29 2. Entering Text This section descr ibes how to enter characters. Entering Text When you enter a character, it appears at the cursor position. If there is a char- acter alre ady at the curso r position, th e newly entered character appears before it.
