1 Y our c ooker should give you many y ears of trouble-free cooking if installed and operated correctly . I t is important that you read this section befor e you star t, particularly if you have not used an induction cooker befor e. CAUTION: This applianc e is for cooking purposes only .

4 Y our 110 induction cooker (F ig. 2.1) has the following featur es: A. 5 induction cooking zones B. Control panel C. A separate grill or glide- out grill (depending on model) D. A conv entional or multifunc tion oven (pr ogrammable, depending on model see T able 2-1) E.
5 The very best pans have bases that are v er y slightly cur ved up when cold (F ig. 2.3) . If you hold a ruler acr oss the bottom you will see a small gap in the middle. When they heat up the metal expands and lies at on the cooking sur face. Make sure that the base of the pan is clean and dry to prevent any residue burning ont o the hob panel.

7 Low T emperature Setting, L1 / L2 Each cooking area is equipped with 2 low temperatur e settings: • L1 will maintain a temperatur e of about 40 °C – ideal for gently melting butter or chocolat e.
8 The Grill / Glide -out Grill CAUTION: This applianc e is for cooking purposes only . It must not be used for other purposes, for example room hea ting. CA UTION : Ac cessible par ts may be hot when the grill is in use. Y oung children should be k ept away .
9 The Ov ens The clock must be set to the time of day bef ore the programmable o ven will w ork. S ee the follo wing section on ‘The Clock’ for instructions on setting the time of day . References to ‘ left-hand’ and ‘right-hand’ ovens apply as view ed from the front of the appliance .

11 T emperature c ontrol Function c ontrol The F an Oven F an ovens circulat e hot air continuously , which means faster , more ev en cooking. The recommended cooking temperatures f or a fan oven are generally low er than those for a non-fan ov en.
12 The C lock The clock must be set to the time of day bef ore the oven will work. 1. Once the cooker is connected and switched on, the display will start to ash. 2. T o set the time , tur n and hold the T imer (A) knob to the Clock (C) setting and at the same time turn the Adjusting (B) knob either clockwise or counter-clock wise (Fig .
13 T o Stop the Multifunction Oven at a Specific T ime of Day Y ou ha ve set the required temperatur e and func tion mode for the Multifunction O ven and y ou would like the Multifunc tion Oven to automatically stop . T OP TIP Make a note of the current time so you do not f orget.
14 T o Start and Stop the Multifunc tion Oven The Multifunction Oven allows you to automa tically start and stop by a combination of the length of the c ook ing time and the stop time. Giving y ou the exibilt y to cook casser oles etc while you are out.
15 The 6-button C lock Setting the Time of Day The 6-button L CD clock is shown in F ig. 2.33 . When the clock is rst connected the display ashes ( 0.00 ) and ( G ) alternately . Pr ess and hold both the [ C ] and [ D ] buttons down (Fig . 2.34) .

17 Ac cessories Oven Shelv es The oven shelv es (Fig. 2.48) ar e retained when pulled forward but can be easily remov ed and retted. Pull the shelf f or ward until the back of the shelf is stopped by the shelf stop bumps in the oven sides (F ig. 2.
18 Stor age The bottom dra wer is for st or ing ov en trays and other cooking utensils. It can get ver y warm, so do not store an ything in it that may melt or catch re . Never store ammable materials in the drawer . This includes paper , plastic and cloth items , such as cookbooks, plastic ware and to wels, as w ell as ammable liquids.
19 Hints on U sing Y our Induc tion C ooker If you have not used an induction cooker befor e please be aware of the f ollowing: • Make sure that the pans you ha ve or buy are suitable for use on the induction hob. S tainless steel, enamelled steel or cast iron is ideal .

Isolate the electricity supply before carrying out any major cleaning. Allo w the cooker to cool . All parts of the cooker can be cleaned with hot soapy water . T ake care tha t no surplus water seeps into the applianc e. Remember to switch the electricity supply back on and reset the clock before r eusing the cooker .

23 C ontrol Panel and Doors Av oid using any abrasive cleaners, including cr eam cleaners. F or best results, use a liquid detergent. The same cleaner can also be used on the doors. Alt er natively , use a soft cloth wrung out in clean hot soapy water .
24 Cleaning T able Cleaners listed (T able 5-1) are available fr om super markets or electrical retailers as stated. F or enamelled sur faces use a cleaner that is approved f or use on vitreous enamel. Regular cleaning is recommended. F or easier cleaning, wipe up any spillages immediately .

27 The ov en light is not working The bulb has probably blown. Y ou can buy a replacement bulb (which is not c over ed under the guarantee) fr om most electrical stores. Ask f or an Edison screw tting 15 W 230 V lamp , FOR OVENS (Fig. 6.1) . It must be a special bulb, hea t resistant to 300 °C.
