1 Y our cooker should give you man y years of trouble-free cooking if installed and operated correctly . It is impor tant that you read this section befor e you start, par ticularly if you have not used an induction cooker befor e. CAUTION: T his appliance is for cooking purposes only .

6 Residual Heat Indicat or , H After use, a cooking zone will remain hot f or a while as heat dissipates. When a cooking zone is switched o the r esidual heat indicator symbol [ H ], will appear in the display . This shows that the cooking zone tempera ture is above 60 °C and may still cause burns.
7 Low T emperature S etting, L1 / L2 Each cooking area is equipped with 2 low temperatur e settings: • L1 will maintain a temperatur e of about 40 °C – ideal for gently melting butter or chocolat e.
8 The Glide -out Grill CAUTION: T his appliance is for cooking purposes only . It must not be used for other purposes, for example room hea ting. CA UTION : Acc essible par ts may be hot when the grill is in use. Y oung children should be kept aw ay .
9 The Ov ens The clock must be set to the time of day bef ore the left- hand oven will w ork. See the following section on ‘ The Clock’ for instructions on setting the time of day . References to ‘ left-hand’ and ‘right-hand’ ovens apply as viewed from the front of the appliance .
10 Con ventional Oven (T op and Base Heat) This function combines the heat from the top and base elements. It is particular ly suitable for roasting and baking pastr y , cakes and biscuits.
11 Operating the Ov ens F an Oven T urn the oven knob to the desired tempera ture (Fig . 2.12) . The oven indica tor light will glow until the oven has r eached the temperatur e selec ted.
12 The C lock The clock must be set to the time of day bef ore the oven will work. 1. Once the cooker is connected and switched on, the display will start to ash. 2. T o set the time, turn and hold the Timer ( A) knob to the Clock (C) setting and at the same time turn the Adjusting (B) knob either clockwise or counter-clock wise (Fig .
13 T o St op the Multifunc tion Oven at a Specific T ime of Day Y ou have set the required t emperature and function mode for the Multifunction O ven and you w ould like the Multifunc tion Oven to automatically stop . T OP TIP Make a note of the current time so you do not f orget.
14 T o Start and Stop the Multifunction Oven The Multifunction Oven allows you to automa tically star t and stop by a combination of the length of the c ook ing time and the stop time. Giving y ou the exibilty to cook casseroles etc while you are out.
15 Ac cessories Oven Shelv es – Left-hand (Main) O ven The oven shelv es (Fig . 2.31) are retained when pulled forward but can be easily remov ed and retted. Pull the shelf f or ward until the back of the shelf is stopped by the shelf stop bumps in the oven sides (F ig.
16 Hints on U sing Y our Induction Cook er If you have not used an induction cooker befor e please be aware of the f ollowing: • Make sure that the pans you ha ve or buy are suitable for use on the induction hob. S tainless steel, enamelled steel or cast iron is ideal .

18 5. Cleaning Y our Cook er Essential Informa tion Isolate the electricity supply before carrying out any major cleaning. Then allo w the cooker to cool. NEVER use paint solvents , washing soda, caustic cleaners, biological powders , bleach, chlorine based bleach cleaners, coarse abr asives or salt.
19 Cleaning Burned-on Spills Make sure that the heat indicator ligh ts are o and that the hob is cool. Remov e the excess burned-on substance with a single -edged razor scraper . Hold the scraper at an angle of about 30° to the surface and then scrape o the burned- on matter (F ig.
20 C ontrol P anel and Doors Av oid using any abrasive cleaners , including cream cleaners, on the control panel . For best r esults, use a liquid detergent. The same cleaner can also be used on the doors. Alt ernatively , use a soft cloth wrung out in clean hot soapy water .
21 Cleaning T able Cleaners listed (T able 5-1) are av ailable from supermarkets or electrical retailers as stated. F or enamelled sur faces use a cleaner that is approved f or use on vitreous enamel. Regular cleaning is recommended. F or easier cleaning, wipe up any spillages immediately .

23 F ood is cook ing too slowly , too quickly , or burning Cooking times may dier fr om your previous oven. Check that y ou are using the recommended temperatures and shelf positions – see the o ven cooking guide. Then adjust the settings accor ding to your own individual tastes .
24 The ov en light is not working The bulb has probably blown. Y ou can buy a replacement bulb (which is not c overed under the guarantee) fr om most elec trical stores. A sk for an Edison screw tting 15 W 230 V lamp, FOR OVENS (F ig.6-1) . It must be a special bulb, hea t resistant to 300 °C.
