Chapter 1 Getting St art ed The P80 c onsole offers admini strators and users th e ability to set defaul t settings that meet thei r s pecific n eeds. To accompl ish this, the con sole supports setti ngs for different classes of users depending on t heir administrative rights.

Precor recommends that y ou configure the P80 consoles in your facility by sharing setting files.
Chapter 3 Intr oducing Users t o the P80 Console The P80 console offers cle ar visuals and a touch - scr een layout that encourages program exploration. Multiple preset workouts are designed to help individual use rs meet th eir fitness goals, and the cons ole keys and durable motio n controls are responsive and easy t o use.

Insert the iPod into the con nector at the top of the console and place your iPo d securely in the pocket provided.

The P80 console offers ma ny different workout options. T he following sections explain the type of workouts avail able and how to get star ted using them.

Assembling the AMT 23 To level t he AMT: 1. Gently rock the AMT while stand ing on one of its foot plates and grabbing the oppos ite handlebar. First stand on the left foot plate and grab the right handlebar to rock the AMT, then repeat the step while standing on the right foot plate and holding the left handlebar.
24 Assembling and Maintaining A MT 800 - Series Adaptive Moti on Trainers Breaking in the Equip ment Precor equipment does not require an actual break - in period. However, moving components such as belts, gears, and bearings can settle while the equipment is being stored or shipped.
Chapter 2 Installing the Console To make installation easier, all Precor Experience Series consoles use the same mounting ha rdware and connector locatio ns whenever possible.

To remov e the cover, use yo ur fin gernails to pry t he lower edge loo se, then swing the cover up and out as sho wn in the follow ing illustration .

Installing the Console 33 Completing the Console Installat ion (P80) Be fore you complete the final installation steps, double -check the connections you have made. Make sure that all cables are fully and securely connected, and that any unneeded cables are tied back properly.

Chapter 3 Maint enanc e To keep the equipment functioning properly, perform the minor maintenance tasks in this section at the intervals shown on the maintenance checklist. Failure to maintain the equipment as described in this section could void the Precor Limited Warranty.

Maintenance 41 Weekly Maintena nce Perform the following maintenance tasks every week: 1. Disconnect the external power supply. 2. C lean the floor under the equipment using a vacuum cleaner or a damp mop. 3. Verify that the stair - arm bumpers are aligned correctly.

Chapter 4 Self- Po w er ed F eatu r es Importa nt : This chapter of the manual d escribes Precor fitn ess equipme nt that can ope rate without being conne cted to AC power. This in cludes units equ ipped with P30 or P2 0 consoles. However, P80 co nsoles must be co nnected to AC pow er through their power s upplies to operate.
44 Assembling and Maintaining AMT 800 - Series Adaptive Motion T rainers Informationa l Displays Prior to Shutdow n The equipment saves its battery charge by moving into a shutdown mode. If the user does not mainta in the minimum rate of motion, a 30- second shutdown proce ss begins.
Self- Powered Features 45 Using the Optional Po wer Adapter After connecting t he power adapter to the equipment, plug the opposite end into the appropriate power source (120 V or 240 V). CAUTION: W hen the opti onal power adapter is in use, make sure that the po wer supply cord does no t create a s afety haz ard.
