9 1. On t h e g uard, loosen t h e set screw o n t h e outer collar (s h o wn i n F igure 5) wit h a 4mm hex wren c h. Slide the outer collar off the gu ard support rod. Figure 5 2. 10 For outboard t u r ning, wh ere t he headstock is moved to the opposite end of the Lat h e to accomm odate large bowl blanks, you can (1) moun t t h e 18” bed e xtensi o n to the three lower holes on t h e Lat h e f rame, and (2) moun t a vert i ca l extensi on post [ in cluded wit h th e opt i onal bed extensi o n] to the tool rest base.
