4 Installation WARNING: We advi se our custome rs to ha ve the Parrot MKi9200 fitted by a p rofessional. Before you begin Checking the car configura tion The cables supplied wit h the kit feature ISO co nnectors and two pairs of line -out jack s. The line-out jack s can be used if your audio system f eatures this option (use of a n amplifier).
5 Installing the kit Note : If you have t he possibility to use a mul timeter, test and v erify all connectio ns on the vehicle before connecting th e Parrot MKi9200 wir ing loom. Car stereo w it h ISO connec tors 1. Connect the m ale connectors of the hands- free kit to the car s tereo.
6 Car stereo w it h line - in Use this type of connec tion by wiring the line-out (brown & white wire or red & bl ack wire) to your car stereo‟s l ine -in. Using the two pairs of l ine-out wil l enable you to take advantage of the mus ic function in stereo over your vehicle‟ s speak ers.
7 Install ing the ki t‟s pow er cable Note : In order to ch eck the wiring, c onnect the screen before placing it on the das hboard. ► Refer to the Ch ecking the wiring s ection for more information. Refer to your car stereo ‟s wiring diagram .
8 Installing the individual components Installing the doubl e microphone Selecting a location In order to get hi-qu ality conversatio ns, we ad vise you to respect the f ollowing recomm endations: Make sure the m icrophone is installed as close to the m outh of the user as possible.
9 Make sure the m icrophone is not exposed to the air stream from air vents. Do not install the m icrophone cable in heat ing, ventilation or air conditioning s ystems. Be careful of the side a irbags and SRS s ystems while running the microphone cable.
10 Installing the remote control on the dashboard If you want to place t he remote control on the dashboard, stick the double- sided tape located on the flat side of the brac ket to fix it against the dashboard. You can t hen insert the rem ote onto the brack et.
11 Avoiding theft and sunlight exposure Remem ber to remove your screen when lea ving the vehicle to avoid tempting an y would- be thieves and to preve nt prolonged exposure to sunl ight.
12 Getting started WARNING : If the remot e control d oesn’t seem to be asso ciated to the electron ic box while using the Parrot MKi for the first time , refer to the Associating the remote control to the electronic box section.
13 Using the v oc al menus Activating / deactivating the vocal menus You can activate or de activate the voca l menus of the Parrot MKi9200. To do s o: 1. Press the jog wheel an d select Sett ings > Audio > Spoken menus . 2. Press the jog wheel to act ivate or deactivate this option.

16 Display parameters Modifying the display parameters Adjusting the brightness You can adapt the s creen brightness of the Parrot MKi9200. T o do so : 1. Press the jog wheel an d select Sett ings > Di splay > Brightness . 2. Select Night mode or Day mo de .
17 Deleting a wallpaper To delete a picture se nt to the P arrot MKi9200 as wallpaper , pr ess the jo g wheel and select Settings > Displa y > Wallpaper > C ustom > Delete .
18 P hone Note : The availab ility of some functionality only depends on t he model of your mobile phone. Before using your Parrot MKi9200 telephon e function, you f irst have to conne c t it with your phone / PDA. ► For more informati on,refer to the Establish ing a Bluetooth con nection with a ph one section.
19 Receiving a call An incoming call is in dicated b y a ringtone. T he name of th e caller is announced if their det ails are stored in the phonebo ok of the phone con nected to the Parrot MK i9200 . N ote : You can also assoc iate a picture to a contact.
20 Managing voice mail During a call, the Parrot MKi9200 allows you to send DTMFs to manage your voice m ail for example. T o do so : 1. Press the jog wheel to acc ess the DTMF m enu. > « 0 » is displa yed by the kit. 2. Use the jog wheel to select your DTMF b etween the follo wing possibilities : 0,1,2,3,4,5 ,6,7,8,9,# or *.
21 Using voice recognition Receiving a call v ia v oice recognition To receive a call via voice recognition, m agic words mus t be activated. Activating / deactivating the magic words Note : Magic words are activate d by default . 1. Press the jog wheel an d select T elep hone > Voice Co mmands > Magic words .
22 Calling a contact w ith several phone numbers If there are several p hone num bers associated to the contact you want to call, you ca n specif y the type of num ber.

Modifying the phonebook style You can activate / de activate the contacts pictures displa y while browsing through your phoneb ook. To do so : 1. Press the jog wheel an d select T elephone > Advanced settings > Phonebok st yle .
24 Activating the ex ternal noise elimination In order to im prove the listening comf ort of your conversation , the Parrot MKi920 0 allows you to tone down the n oise from outside your car (motorc ycles, trucks) if your windo w is open.

28 Using the Parrot MKi9200 with a USB peripheral WARNING: If your Parrot MKi9200 is conn ected to an iPhone and an USB fla sh drive, the iPhone has priority: you c an only browse through your iPhone content . 1. Connect the US B flash drive or the MP3 pla yer using the U SB cable.

30 Settings Covers display The album c overs can be displa yed if they are included in the tags of your audio files. Associating a pictu re to an album If no picture is included in the tags of your audio files (MP3 ID3v2), you can add a picture in .j pg f ormat in the corresponding folder.
31 Using the equalizer The equalizer allo ws you to adjust th e low, medium and high frequencies depend ing on your preferences. T o activate or deactivate it: 1. Press the jog wheel an d select Audio effects > Equali zer . 2. Press the jog wheel to act ivate or deactivate this option.
32 Deactivating the Mute on Streaming This option autom atically mutes the tu ner when a song is pl ayed. This option is acti vated by default. You can deactivate this o ption and m ute the tuner m anually via the Mute cable. T o do so, press the jog wheel then select Settings > Audio > Mute on Streaming .
