Before pr oceeding, find your recumbent bike’s serial number and model name located on the front f oot tube and enter it in the space provided below: Refer to this number when calling f or ser vice, and also enter this serial number on y our W arranty Card and in y our own records.
STRETCH FIRST Before using y our Horizon Fitness product, it is best to take a fe w minutes doing a few gentle stretch- ing ex ercises. Stretc hing prior to ex ercise will improve fle xibility and reduce c hances of exercise related injury . Ease into eac h of these stretc hes with a slow gentle motion.
MO VING Y our Horizon Fitness recumbent bike has a pair of tr anspor t wheels built into the front of the frame. T o move , fir mly grasp the vertical seat post and one of the side handlebars. Carefully lift and roll. CAUTION! Our recumbent bik es are well built and heavy , weighing up to 150lbs.
KNOW YOUR RECUMBENT BIKE WHA T KIND OF ROUTINE MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED? W e use sealed bearings throughout our bikes so lubrication is not needed. The most important main- tenance step is to simply wipe your perspir ation off the bike after each use. HO W DO I CLEAN MY HORIZON FITNESS RECUMBENT BIKE? Clean with soap and w ater cleaners only .
QUICK ST ART UP Simply begin ex ercising. The console will automatically begin counting up and tracking your inf or- mation. RESET Press and hold the select button on the console.
ARE THE SOUNDS MY RECUMBENT BIKE MAKES NORMAL? Our recumbent bikes are some of the quietest available because the y use belt drives and friction free magnetic resistance.
PROBLEM: Erratic or Inconsistent R eadout. SOLUTION: This is often caused b y dry electrodes or a loose chest strap. Moisture on the rubber electrodes is required f or proper operation. T ry a more gener ous coating of water on the electr odes and tightening the c hest strap.

T ARGET HEART RA TE ZONE Y our ‘T arget Heart R ate Zone’ is a percentage of your maximum heart rate. T arget Zones will vary for each individual, depending on age , current level of conditioning, and personal fitness goals.
DISPLAY TIME Shown as Minutes:Seconds . View the time remaining or the time elapsed in your w orkout. DIST ANCE Shown as Miles . View the accumulated distance during your workout. CAL ORIES Shown as total accumulated calories burned during your workout.
