Wa rning To pre vent serious injur y or death: • It is dangerous to use this product on an ele vated surf ace. •N ev er use on a soft surf ace (bed, sof a, cushion) since product can tip ov er and cause suff ocation in soft surf aces. • Alwa ys use the restraint until child is ab le to climb in and out of the chair unassisted.
IMPORT ANT! Bef ore assembly , inspect this product for damaged hardware , loose joints, missing par ts or sharp edges. DO NOT use if any parts are missing or broken. Co ntac t Mattel f or replacement parts and instructions if needed. Never substitute parts.
4 4 •L ocate the hole in each side rail. •W ith the vibrations unit facing f or ward , fit the front tube to the side rails , as shown. Hold the front tube in place and proceed to step 5.
5 •P osition the assembly face down, as shown. •W hile pressing the tab on each end of the k ickstand , insert the k ickstand into the receptacle in each side rail, as shown. •P ush the k ickstand into the r eceptacles until the tabs “ snap ” into place.
6 •T urn the har dboard ov er and insert it into the slot in the front edge of the pad. •F ast en the pad buckles on the front edge of the pad and underneath the seat. Make sure you hear a “ snap” on both sides. •P r ess the fasteners t ogether in the seat back portion of the pad.
7 • Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the vibrations unit. • Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriv er . • Lift to remove the battery compartment door . • Inser t one LR20 "D" alkaline battery as indicated inside the battery compar tment.
8 Securing Y our Infant •P lace your child in the seat. Position the restr aint pad between your child’ s legs. •F ast en the restraint belts to each side of the restr aint pad. Make sure y ou hear a “ click ” on both sides. •C heck to be sure the restraint system is securely attached by pulling it awa y from your child .
9 T oys 4 •F it the pad straps through the slot in the toy rings. F asten the straps. •O r, attach the toys to the to y bar straps (please see Step 5).
10 Calming Vibrations •M ake sure your child is pr operly secured in the seat. •S lide the power switch to the on position for calming vibrations. •S lide the power switch to the off position to turn vibrations off . 6 Pow er Switch •F it the plugs on each end of the toy bar into the sockets in each side rail.
11 Storing the Restraint System for T oddler Use 8 Large Slot Small Slot Small Slot • Insert the restraint belts back through the small slots in the pad. • Insert the restraint pad down through the large slot in the pad. •R otate the kickstand out.
