DIRECT VENT: This type is identied by the sufx DV . This appliance draws all of its air for combustion from outside the dwelling, through a specially designed v ent pipe system. This appliance has been tested and approved f or installations from 0 f eet to 4500 feet (1372 m) abov e sea level.

10 H ORIZONTAL I NSTALLATION : STEP 1. Set the appliance in the desired location. Check to determine if wall studs or roof rafters are in the way when the venting system is attached. If this is the case, you may want to adjust the location of the appliance.

14 STEP 8. Continue to add pipe sections until the height of the vent cap meets the minimum code requirements. Refer to Figure 16 and T able 3. Note that f or steep roof pitches, the vent height must be increased.

19 Initial Inst alla tion QUALIFIED INST ALLERS ONL Y E LECTRICAL R EQUIREMENTS : The ENVIRO EG28 will operate without electrical power . This model has a millivolt gas control, which uses the pilot ame to generate enough electricity to operate the main burners.
A DJUSTING T HE V ENTURIES : • Remo ve the ash shelf by undoing the screw at each end, pull shelf towards you. • Remo ve one screw from the cover plate located below the ash shelf . Loosen the other screw (do not remove) swing the cover plate out of the way and tighten screw down to hold it in place.

If they are positioned incorrectly , the ames can be “pinched” and will not burn correctly . The burner come with ve (5) locator pins and two (2) resing areas, which make alignment easier .

Check to see that all the burner ports are clean and clear . Check the pilot head for blockage. Check to ensure the pilot ame is blue with no or very small yellow tips.
