(2) Starti n g Playback (3) Sto ppin g Playback Sleep mod e The sleep mode is set if no operation is performed for 30 min- utes in the standby, pause or manua l search mode. When in the sleep mode, press the PLAY/PAUSE but ton to search for the position before the sleep mode was set and start playback.

To start from a different position in the tra ck, use the pr ocedure descri bed belo w to find the desired position.
16 NOTE: The following h appens if ei ther the A or B point is n ot set: • If only the A poin t is set, the B point i s automatically set at the end of the track for w hich the A point is se t. • If only the B point i s set, the A point is auto matically set at the beginning of the track fo r which the B poin t is set.

21 (4) Presetting Prog rams • Progra ms can be store d in th e prese t memo ry. Whe n a disc for w hich a program is pre set is l oaded, the pro gramme d playback mo de is set automatically.
• Functions can be preset using th e bu ttons on the front panel. T hese presettings a re stored in a permanent memory, so th ey are n ot cleared even when the power is turned off.

26 BEFORE SWITCH ING OFF THE P OWER When you have finished using the CD player, before s witching off the power be sure that the disc holder has been closed with th e OPEN/CL OSE button. CAUTION: Do not forcibly close the disc holder when the power is off.
