1 Impor tant Safety Instructions About Safety Instructions The Important Safety Instructions and warnings in this manual are not meant to cover all possible problems and situations that can occur . Use common sense and caution when installing, maintaining or operating this or any other appliance.
2 Impor tant Safety Instructions General Safety Precautions W ARNING - T o reduce the risk of re, electric shock, serious injury or death when using your appliance, follow basic safety precautions, including the following: • Read all instructions before using the dishwasher .

4 Loading Y our Dishwasher w arning • Place sharp objects in the silverware basket or knives in the knife stand (see page 6). If it is not possible to load sharp objects in the silverware basket, load them with the sharp end toward the back of the dishwasher .
5 Loading Y our Dishwasher Loading the Silver ware Basket import ant • T o prevent damage, do not load utensils and silverware made of different materials (for example silver and stainless steel) in the same compartment of the silverware basket. • For best results: ◊ Do not nest utensils in the silverware basket.
6 caution • Always place large or heavy items (such as pots, pans and large dishware) in the bottom rack. • T o avoid damage to the racks, do not let sharp edges come into contact with them. • T o minimize breakage and chipping, do not allow fragile items to touch each other .
7 Loading Y our Dishwasher Bottom Rack T op Rack • Place glasses, cups, bowls, small plates and saucers in the top rack. Hang wine glasses from the wine glass shelf or lean them against it. Place long knives in the knife stand. • Scrape off leftover food items and non-food items, like toothpicks and napkins, before loading.
8 Operating Y our Dishwasher Filling the Detergent Dispenser caution • Do not use hand dish washing detergents. They will create excessive foaming that interferes with proper operation. • Using too much dish washing detergent, can cause a permanent film called etching.
9 2. Carefully pour the rinse agent into the ller hole until the rinse agent level is even with the top of the hole. Do not overll. 3. Wipe up any spillage. 4. Replace the rinse agent cap and turn it clockwise to the closed position. Adjusting the Rinse Agent Dispenser The rinse agent setting is located under the rinse agent cap.
10 Operating Y our Dishwasher Star ting Y our Dishwasher import ant If the dishwasher drain line is connected to a garbage disposal, run the disposal before operating the dishwasher for proper drainage. 1. Open the door and push in on the main power switch on the top of the door , so that it is in the on position.
11 T o turn the child lock on and off: 1. Open the door and turn off the dishwasher’s main power switch. The control panel is not lit when the unit is off. 2. Press and hold the W ASH TEMP and D RY cycle buttons while pressing the main power switch.
12 Cleaning the Interior • The dish washing compartment of your Dacor dishwasher is constructed of high quality stainless steel. It remains clean during normal use.
13 4. Pull the strainer basket and the attached tubular lter up and out. 5. Pull the strainer basket free from the tubular lter . 6. Lift the ne particle lter out of the dishwasher . 7. Clean the lters in the kitchen sink with a soft sponge and mild kitchen detergent under warm water .
14 1 1. Center the ne particle lter over the hole in the bottom of the dishwasher . 12. Re-attach the strainer basket to the tubular lter . 13. Insert the tubular lter assembly into the hole with the handle pointing toward the front of the dishwasher .
15 5. T o release the top spray arm, rst remove the top rack. Pull the top rack out until it stops. T urn both rack stops outwards on the rack mounting rails (see diagram). Pull the rack toward you to remove it. 6. Remove the top spray arm in the same way as the bottom arm and clean it.

17 Before Y ou Call for Ser vice Problem May Be Caused By What to Do Unusual noise Improper loading Utensils may not be secure or something small may have dropped from the rack. W ater may cause utensils to rattle. Make sure dishware is secure. Spray arms not rotating properly Make sure that both spray arms rotate freely .
18 Before Y ou Call for Ser vice Problem Solution Guide (Continued) Problem May Be Caused By What to Do Dishes not dry (cont.) Improper loading or unloading Do not overload or nest items. Make sure dishwasher is loaded according to instructions starting on page 4.
19 Before Y ou Call for Ser vice Problem May Be Caused By What to Do Spotting and lming (cont.) T oo little water Make sure water valve is fully open. Make sure that water pressure is between 4.2 and 125 p.s.i. and ow rate is a minimum of 3.0 gpm.
