Operating Instructions 10 Contr ol Panel Pr ogramme selector The pr ogramme selector is used to select the wash cycle (for example, water level, drum movement, number of rinses, spin speed) and the water tem- per ature accor ding to the type of washing.
Operating Instructions 11 EASY -CARES Main wash cycle for easy-care fabric s (mixed fibres) at 40 °C or 60 °C. EASY IRON position: main wash cycle a t 40°C for easy-care fabrics which, after washing with this p r ogr amme, r equire only light ironing or no ironing at all.
Operating Instructions 12 STAIN For heavily s oiled or stained washin g. In-wash stain tr eatment products ar e washed in at the optimum ti me as the progr amme progr esses. Can only be selected with wash temperatur es of 40 °C and above, as stain treatment pr oducts are only effective at higher temper atures.

The next time a pr ogramme is started the solution container will be closed and the ECO valve can function correctly .

Operating Instructions 26 Cleaning the dr ain pump P aper clips, nails and so on can sometimes get into the washing ma- chine with the washing and remain in the dr ain pump casing. Fluff and stra nds of fabric can gather on these items and block the drain pump.

Operating Instructions 29 The washing ma- chine vibrates when operating, or is noisy . Tr ansit packaging was not re- moved. Remove the tr ansit packaging as described in the I nstallation and Connectio n instructions. The machine is not level. Adjust the feet accord ing to the Installation and Connec- tion instructions.
Operating Instructions 30 Washing is heavily cr eased. Pr obably too much washing has been put in the d rum. P ay attention to the maximum load quantity (see Pr ogramme Table s). In the case of easy- car e fabrics, select the EASY IRON pr ogramme. Wa sh in g is n ot thor oughly spun, water remains vi si- ble in th e drum.

Operating Instructions 33 Carrying out an emer gency emptying • If the washing machine no longer pumps out the water , emergency emptying must be carried out. • If the washing machine is located in a room in which below fr eezing temper atures might occur , emergenc y emptying must be carried out.
