54 P osition EASY TO IRON at 40°C ( FÁCIL ) In this position the laundry is gently washed and spun to avoid any cr easing. In this way ironing is easier . P osition FRIO = cold wash ST ART/P AUSE button (START/P AUSA) This button has two functions: a) Start After having selected the r equired pr ogr amme, press this button to start the machine.
Pr ogr amme Option buttons Depending on the pr ogramme, differ ent functions can be combined. These must be selected after choosing the desir ed progr amme and befor e depressing the ST ART/P AUSE button. When these buttons ar e pressed, the corr esponding pilot lights come on.
RINSE HOLD (ST OP ACLARADO) By selecting this option, the last rinse water is not emptied out, to pr event the fabrics from cr easing. When the pr ogramme has finished, the ST ART/PAUSE button go es o.
Cancelling a pr ogr amme T o cancel a progr amme which is running, turn the pr ogramme selector dial to the RESET O/OFF position. W arning! After a progr amme which ends with water in the drum (RINSE HOLD option), turn the selector dial fir st to O/OFF and then to the pr ogramme “ DESAGUAR ”, “ CENTRIFUGAR ” or “ CENTRIF .
Deter gent dispenser drawer Compartment for pr ewash detergent. The pr ewash deter gent is added at the beginning of the wash pr ogramme. Compartment for powder or liquid deter gent used for main wash. It is emptied at the beginning of the wash cycle.
Pr eparing the wash cycle Sorting out and pr eparing the laundry • Sort out the laundry accor ding to type of fabrics and care labels (see “T ypes of fabric and care labels”). • Empty pockets. • Remove any metal parts (safety pins, clips, etc.
W eight of laundry T ypes of fabric and car e labels The labels on garments help you to select the most suitable wash pr o- gr amme. The laundry should be sorted out according to the type of fab- ric and the instructions indicated on car e labels. T emperatur es indicated on labels ar e always maximum temperatur es.
Delicates Micr ofibres, synthetics or curtains marked with these symbols r equir e a very gentle tr eatment. The DELICA TES progr amme is suitable for this type of fabric. W oollens and particularly delicate items Fabrics such as wool, wool mix or silk marked with this symbol ar e par- ticularly sensitive to machine washing.
62 Deter gents and additives Which deter gent and additive? Use only deter gents and additives for washing machines. Follow the manufactur er’s instructions.
63 How to wash Load the laundry Open the door . Place the laundry in the drum, one item at a time. Distribute laundry as evenly as possible. Close the door . Add deter gent and additives Pull the dr awer out till it stops. P our the main wash detergent into com- partment .
64 How to wash Select the desir ed wash pr ogramme T urn the progr amme selector dial to the desir ed position: the lights corr esponding to the differ ent phases making up the selected pr ogramme light on. The display shows the dur a- tion of the pr ogramme.
EXTRA RINSE This appliance is designed for saving water . However , for people with a very delicate skin (aller gic to detergents) it may be necessary to rinse the laundry using an extr a quantity of water (extra rinse).
66 Starting the pr ogr amme 1. Check that the water tap is open and the door is closed. 2. Pr ess START/P AUSE to start the pr ogramme. If the Delay Start option has been selected the pr ogramme will start at the end of the countdown. If the light FIN (END) is flashing at the start of the pr ogramme it indi- cates that the door is open.

71 Cleaning and maintenance After each wash At the end of the wash pr ogramme, pull the dispenser dr awer out a lit- tle to let it dry . Leave the door ajar to allow air to cir culate. If the machine is not used for a pr olonged period: Close the water tap and unplug the appliance.
Door seal Check fr om time to time the door seal and eliminate eventual possible objects that could be tr apped in the fold. Dr ain pump The pump should be inspected r egularly and particularly if the machine does not empty and/or spin the machine makes an unusual noise during dr aining due to objects such as safety pins, coins etc.
73 Remove any objects fr om the pump impeller by r otating it. Put the cap back on the emer- gency emptying hose and place the latter back in its seat. Scr ew the pump fully in. Close the pump door . W ater inlet filter If you notice that the machine is taking longer to fill, check that the filter in the water inlet hose is not blocked.
74 Cleaning and maintenance Fr ost pr ecautions If the machine is installed in a place wher e the temperatur e could dr op below 0°C, pr oceed as follows: Close the water tap and unscr ew the water inlet hose from the tap.
Something not working? If during the spin cycle the machine makes an unusual whistling noise, differ ent from the noise made by tr adi- tional washing machines, this is due to a new type of motor . If water is not visible in the drum, this is due to the modern technology of new washing machines that use less water than tr aditional machines.

Instructions for installation and electrical connection Safety instructions for the installer • This appliance is heavy , care should be taken when moving it. • When unpacking the appliance, check that it is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use it and contact the r etailer .
Installation Unpacking All tr ansit bolts and packing must be r emoved before using the appliance. After r emoving all the packaging, carefully lay machine on it’ s back to remove the poly- styr ene base from the bottom. Remove the pow- er supply cable and the dr aining hose fr om the hose holder s on the r ear of the appliance.
Open the porthole, take out the inlet hose fr om the drum and r emove the polystyr ene block fitted with the adhesive tape on the door seal. Fill the smaller upper hole and the two lar ge ones with the corr esponding plastic plug caps supplied in the bag containing the instruction booklet.
Levelling Car efully level by screwing the adjustable feet in or out. Never place car dboard, wood or similar materials under the machine to compensate for any unevenness in the floor . W ater inlet Attention! • An inlet hose is supplied and can be found inside the machine drum.
W ater dr ainage The end of the dr ain hose can be positioned in thr ee ways: Hooked over the edge of a sink using the plastic hose guide supplied with the machine. In this case, make sur e the end cannot come unhooked when the machine is emptying. This could be done by tying it to the tap with a piece of string or attaching it to the wall.
Electrical connection This machine is designed to oper ate on a 220-230 V, single-phase, 50 Hz supply . Check that your domestic electrical installation can take the maximum load r equired (2.2 kW), also taking into account any other appliances in use.
