E-4 Power Supply Y ou can power this digital piano by plugging it into a standar d household power outlet. Be sure you turn of f power and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet whenever the digital piano is not in use. Using the AC Adaptor Make sure that you use only the AC adaptor specified for this digital piano.
E-5 Connections 413A-E-007A IMPORT ANT! • Whenever connecting external equipment, first set the VOLUME knob of the digital piano and the volume controller of the external equipment to r elatively low volume settings. Y ou can later adjust volume to the level you want after connections are complete.

E-13 Using Auto Accompaniment W ith auto accompaniment, the keyboard automatically plays r hythm, bass, and chord parts in accor dance with chords you select using simplified keyboard fingerings, or chor ds you play . Auto accompaniment makes it feel like you have your own private backup group with you all the time.

E-17 Playing a Built-in T une Y our piano comes with 25 Music Library tunes built in. See the Song List on page A-2 of this manual for mor e information. 1 Press the SONG button so SONG indicator lamp (below the button) is lit. • Each press of the button toggles between the upper indicator lamp and lower indicator lamp.

E-22 MIDI Settings 1 Send Channel Use this setting to specify one of the MIDI channels (1 through 16) as the Send Channel for sending MIDI messages to an external device. 2 Accomp MIDI Out Use this setting to specify whether or not MIDI messages for the piano ’ s auto accompaniment should be sent.
