CHAPTER 2-1 2 Using Speed Dialing This chapter introduces some basic dialing f eatures, then shows y ou how to set up the speed dialing ke ys. Speed dialing includes One-T ouch Speed Dialing, Coded Speed Dialing, Group Dialing, and Access Code Dialing.

Using Speed Dialing 2-32 Using Speed Dialing 2 Using Speed Dialing F ollow the procedures in this section to use speed dialing. The f our speed dialing methods are one-touch speed dialing, coded speed dialing, group dialing, and access code dialing. If you f orget where a number is registered, y ou can find it and dial it with director y dialing.
Using Speed Dialing 2-33 2 Using Speed Dialing If you are using Direct Sending, y ou will see a series of br ief , alter nating messages that tell you the machine is dialing, calling then tr ansmitting the document. The number being dialed, name of the other par ty , and transaction number of the document are also displa yed.
Using Speed Dialing 2-34 2 Using Speed Dialing Using Coded Speed Dialing F ollow this procedure to star t a transmission and send a document b y pressing [Coded Dial] f ollowed b y a three digit code. IMPOR T ANT To use this feature , you must first register a telephone n umber for coded speed dialing.
