NEVER . . . NEVER leave childr en unsuper vised where the cooker is installed as all sur faces will get hot during and after use. NEVER allow any one to sit or stand on any part of the cooker . NEVER store items that childr en may attempt to reach abo ve the c ooker .
The hotplate has one large high speed burner , two normal simmering burners and one small simmering burner which will accommodate pans between 100mm (4”) and 200mm (8”) diameter .

Grilling can be star ted from cold but f or best results preheat for appro ximately two minutes. Most cooking is done with the heat on full, but it may be necessary after seal- ing the food to reduc e the heat as required. F or au gratin dishes eg. Macaroni Cheese and meringue toppings eg .
The ov en has different heat zones – the thermostat settings ref er to the temperature on the middle shelf position; above this shelf it is hott er and below it is cooler . T wo shelves enable full use of the tempera tures inside the oven. Each shelf has a safety stop to prev ent if from being pulled ou t too far when attending to food .
C OLD ST AR T COOKING Anything requiring long slow c ook ing such as casseroles and ric h fruit cakes can be put into a cold ov en. Satisfactor y results can also be obtained with creamed mixture, rich pastries or yeast mixtures, but for perfection we recommen d preheating the ov en for about 15 minutes.
The following times and setting ar e for guidance only . Y ou ma y wish to alter the setting to give a result more to your sa tisfac tion. When a different setting t o t hat shown below is given in a recipe , the recipe instructions should be followed .
13 O VEN C OOKING CHART When baking with two trays or tins on two lev els, the top tray is r emoved first and the lower tra y moved up to the top position f or a few minutes longe r. Soft Margarine – Use the oven settings recommended b y the margarine manufacturer and not those indicated on the cooking char t.
The ‘E’ setting on the ov en thermostat is used for slow cooking , keeping food warm and warming plates for short periods. USING THE ‘E’ SETTING FOR SLOW C OOKING 1. All dishes cooked by the ‘E’ setting should be cooked for a minimum 6 hours .
15 T o operate the minute minder , rotat e the minute minder control knob fully clockwise and then anti-clockwise to the required setting (0-120 min). This will ensure that the duration of audible warning is as long as possible. T he minute minder will then count down to ‘0’ at which time it will emit an audible warning f or a shor t period.
Clean the cooker r egularly and wipe up spills soon af ter they occur to prev ent them from becoming burnt on. Ne ver use biological washi ng powder , caustic cleaners, harsh abrasiv es, scouring pads , aeros ol cleaners or ov en chemical cleaners of any kind .
17 CARE AND CLEANING C OOKER FINISH CLEANING METHOD Vitreous Enamel Hotplate , burner caps, fascia, roasting dish, grill pan, oven base and r ear , inside of grill compartment, inside of doors. Cloth wrung out in hot soapy water . Stubborn stains can be remov ed with a cream paste, liquid cleaner or by rubbing with fine steel wool soap pads.

Prior to installation, ensur e that the local distribution conditions (nature of the gas and gas pressure) and the adjustment conditions ar e compatible. The adjustment condi- tions for this appliance are sta ted on the data badge which is fitted below the ov en door on the plinth panel.

SP ACE FOR FIXING The cooker can be close fitted below hotplat e level. This requires a minimum distance of 503mm between cupboard units of hotplat e height. When installing next to a tall cupboard , par tition or wall, for a minimum distance of 400mm above hotplat e level, allow a side clearance of at least 65mm.
