T o prevent damage, remove the unit from the vehicle or store it out of direct sunlight. 1. Locate the rectangular lithium-ion battery that came in the product box.
BMW Navigation Portable Pro Owner ’s Manual 3 Getting Started Mount the remote control in a convenient location in your vehicle, such as on your steering wheel. Use the strap to secure the remote control in place. Conguring the nüvi T o turn on your nüvi, slide the Power key to the left.

BMW Navigation Portable Pro Owner ’s Manual 5 Getting Started Following Y our Route As you travel, your nüvi guides you to your destination with voice prompts, arrows on the map, and directions at the top of the map. If you depart from the original route, your nüvi recalculates the route and provides new directions.
6 BMW Navigation Portable Pro Owner ’s Manual Getting Started Speaking Commands Use the speech recognition feature to speak to your nüvi to nd destinations and select options. Press the large button on the remote control to turn on speech recognition.
