What’s New at Revision 8.2.0? 13 Full-duplex mode eliminates both the link’ s collision domain and the need for collision detection. As a result, full-duplex point-to-point links can be much longer than half-duplex links.

System Issues 21 Sy st em Issues T he follo wing system issues are identified at this release: ■ If the FESM diagnostic fails on a system power-up , the error message you find will look similar to the follo wing message. Y ou then need to reboot the system.

Known Problems 23 ■ T he NVRAM con version for SNMP traps does not adjust correctly after installing LANplex software revision 8.2.1, v er ify that the appropriat e traps are enabled . ■ A n NVDA T A save procedur e fails if it occurs at the same instant when a MAC addr ess is learned or aged out of the slot’ s MAC addr ess table.

Products sent to 3Com without RMA numbers will be returned to the sender unopened, at the sender’ s expense.
