GETTING STARTED English 5 Inserting the SIM and m emory card To insert the SIM and memory card you have to fi rst remove the battery cover and the battery to reveal th e SIM and memory card compartments. Remove the battery cover Remove the battery Insert the S I M card The SIM card and its conta cts are easily damaged.
GETTING STARTED English 6 Replace the b attery cover The Se tup Wizard When you switch on your Vertu phone for the first time you will be guided through cer tain setup option s by the Vertu Setup Wizard.

GETTING STARTED English 11 Using th e options on these me nus you can turn Bluetooth on, make your phone discoverabl e, search for active devic es and pair your phone with other Blueto oth devices, for example your Bluetooth headset. Use the Go to menu to to ggle Bluetoot h on and off.

T ext messages Text messages (also known as SMS) are basic messages containing o nly text, of up to 160 charac ters.

CONTACTS English 25 4 CONTACTS Your Vertu phone Contacts list has capacity for up to 2,000 entries. Contacts memory Contact names and numbers can be stor ed in the phone memory or on the SIM card, or both.
CONTACTS English 26 Check memo ry st at us You can check your Vertu phone' s memory to see how much information is sto red and how much free space is available. To check the memory status: 1. From the Home screen, press Menu » Contact s » Settings » Memory status .
CONTACTS English 27 Contact number and text t ypes The first numbe r added to a contact is automatica lly set as the default number. When you select a contact to call or send a message to, this default number is always used.
CONTACTS English 28 Contacts menu You can use the options in the contact s menu to make a call, send a text message and send a busines s card to a nyone whose contact information you have saved. Your phone automatically adds voice tags to your contacts, and you can also assign numbers to the speed dial list.
