Paper sizes are marked on the cassette. 2 Squeeze the ends of the bo ttom of the paper le ngth guide and move the guide to fit the length of the paper .
3-9 Preparation before Use > Load ing Paper 2 Insert the appropriate pape r size card in th e slot to indicate the size of the paper inside. 5 Gently push the cassette back in. IMPORT ANT • Load the p aper with the print side fa cing up. • Af ter removing new p aper from it s packaging, fan the p aper before loading it in the cassette.
3-10 Preparation before Use > Load ing Paper Loading P aper in the Multi Pur pose T r ay The multi purpose tray will hold up to 100 sheet s of A4 or smaller plain paper (80 g/m²) or up to 25 sheet s of plain paper (80 g/m²) lager than A4.
3-11 Preparation before Use > Load ing Paper 2 Adjust the multi pur pose tr ay size. 3 Load paper . Insert the p aper along the p aper width guid es into the tray until it stops. After removing new paper from it s packaging, fan the paper before lo ading it in the multi- purpose tray .

Click [ File ] and select [ Print ] in the application. 2 Configure the settings. 1 Select the machine from the "Name" menu a nd click the [ Properties ] button .
4-3 Printing from PC > Printing from PC 2 Select the [ Basic ] tab. 3 Click "Print size" menu and select t he paper size to use for printing. T o load the paper of size that is not included in print sizes of the machin e such as cardstock or envelopes, the paper size needs to be registered.

4-8 Printing from PC > Using Print Box Using Print Bo x Print Box is a function to temp orarily save a printer docum ent in the box on a PC and execute prin ting at the machine. A job is not printed until you oper ate the machine, and this prev ent s the printed p apers from b eing taken by someone.
4-9 Printing from PC > Using Print Box Sa ving Document to a Print Bo x Use the procedure below to save a document in the Print Bo x created on the Host PC. Print Box can be se lected from [ Box 01 ] to [ Box 10 ]. T o use the other boxes or to change the default box name, configure the settings on Client T ool.

5-3 Operation on the Machine > Loadin g Originals Loading Originals in the Document Pr ocessor (Option) The optional docu ment processor automatically scans each shee t of multiple originals.
5-4 Operation on the Machine > Loadin g Originals 1 Adjust the origin al width guides. 2 Place the originals. Put the side to be scanned (or the first side of two-sided or iginals) face-up. Slide the leading edge into the document proc essor as far as it will go.

5-7 Operation on the Machine > Copying Inter r upt Copy This function allows you to pa use the current jobs in progress when you need to make copies immediately . When the interruption copy ends, the machine re sumes the paused print jobs. 1 Press the [ Inter r u pt ] k ey .
5-8 Operation on the Machine > Copying ID Car d Cop y Use to copy the front and ba ck sides of a licen se or other ID card on one sheet of paper . 1 Configure the settings. 1 Press the [ ID Card Copy ] key . 2 Press the [ ▲ ] or [ ▼ ] key to select [On], and press the [ OK ] key .

Align with the ID Card marks on the Original Size Indicator Plates. 7 Press the [ Star t ] k ey . The front and back sides of the card are copied on on e sheet of paper .
5-10 Operation on the Machine > Copying Using V arious Functions T o configure the settin gs for functions, press the key of th e function you want to configure. Y ou can also press the [ Function Menu ] key to select from ot her functions dis played on the message display .

5-14 Operation on the Machine > Copying Density Adjust density . Press the [ ▲ ] or [ ▼ ] key t o select [Darke r +3] to [Lighter -3]. Original Image Select original image type. Duplex Produces two-sided copies. Y ou can also create single-sided copies from two-sided orig inals or originals with facing pages such as books.
5-15 Operation on the Machine > Copying T wo-sided to T wo-sided Produces two-sided co pies from two-sided originals. Th e optional duplex unit and document processor ar e required. Book to One-sided Produces a 1-sided copy of a 2-sided or ope n book original.
5-16 Operation on the Machine > Copying When placing the original on the platen , consec utively replace each original and press the [ Start ] key . After scanning all originals, press the [ OK ] key to start copying. Advanced Duplex ― Changes the settin gs.

5-21 Operation on the Machine > Copying Mixed Size Orig. (Mixed Size Originals) Scans multiple sheet s of the same width using the document processo r . EcoPrint EcoPrint saves toner when printing. Use th is function for test print s or any other occasion when high quality print is not required.
5-22 Operation on the Machine > Copying Margin Add margins (white space). In addition, you can set the margin width and the back page marg in. Border Erase Sheet Erases black borders arou nd the sing le sheet origin al. Border Erase Book Erases black borders ar ound the edges and in the midd le of the original such as a thick book.
5-24 Operation on the Machine > Copying Continuous Scan Scans a large number of originals in separate batches and then produce as one job. T o scan the next original, press the [ Start ] key . After scanning all originals, press the [ OK ] key . Copying starts.
