4 Safety Precautions ︱ These usage and safety guidelines are IMPORT A NT! Please follow them carefully . Please ensure that you connect the USB cable to the StoreJet 25 and your computer correctly (smal l end StoreJe t 25, large end PC) General Use • Carefully unpack the con t ents of the StoreJe t 25 package.
5 • Please use the Mini USB to USB A-Type cable that came with the Stor eJet 25 to connect it t o a co mputer, and alw ays ensure that the cable you are using is in good condition.

7 Installing a Hard Drive ︱ The S toreJet 25 hard dr ive enclosure only w orks with 2.5” SA T A Hard Disk Drives. Installing a Hard Drive If you purchased a Transcend S toreJet 25 hard dr ive enclosure that does not have an SA T A hard disk drive already install ed, please read this section for install ation instructions.

9 Connecting to a C omputer ︱ If you want to use t he S toreJet 25 as an external hard driv e to upload/do wnload data to and from your computer , you will need to connect it to a USB port on the computer using the provided USB Y -cable. Figure 2: Mini USB to St andard-A USB cable (USB Y -cable) 1.
10 3. When the S toreJet 25 is successfully connected to a computer, the S toreJet’ s Power LED will light up, a new Local Disk dr ive with a new ly-assigned drive letter w ill appear in the My Computer window, and a Removable Hardware icon will appear on the W indo ws System Tray.
11 Disconnecting from a Computer ︱ NEVER disconnect the S t oreJet from a Compu ter when it s LED is flashing. Windows 1. Select t he Hard w are icon on the system tray . 2. T he Safely Remov e Hardwar e pop-up w indo w will appear .

20 Troubleshooting ︱ If a problem occu rs with you r S toreJet 25, please first check the informa t ion listed below before taking your S toreJet 25 in for r epair . If you ar e unabl e to solv e a problem from the f ollowing hints, please consult your deal er , servi ce center , or local Transcend branch o ffice.

I cannot detect the StoreJet 25 on my Mac If you installed a drive in to the S t oreJet 25P t hat was previously used in a W indows ® computer , it is most likely f ormatted with NTFS, which is not c ompatibl e with Mac ® OS.
