English SETTING UP 6 Inser ting ba tteries and ef f ective range of the remote Remove the back cover to reveal the battery compartment and make sure the batteries are inserted the right way round. Suitable battery types for this remote are AAA, IEC R03 1.

If you use a decoder and/or a media recorder it is essential that the aerial cable is connected through the decoder and/or through the media recorder to the television.

WIDE Use this setting when watching a widescreen DVD, widescreen video tape or a 16:9 broadcast (when available).
