T his is useful if you customiz e a schedule for a par ticular day and would lik e to apply the same schedule for other days of the w eek.

Knowing this port is necessary for the DVR to be viewed pr operly over the Internet . Media P or t: This port is used to initiate communica tion to the DVR.

The information that this option gives you includes: • HDD Status: Displays the current oper ating status of the hard driv e.

This DVR giv es you the option to ha ve email alerts sent when motion is detected.

The settings y ou can adjust include turning motion on or o , adjusting the sensitivity and selec ting the motion detection area.

This setting allows you to adjust particular areas of each camera wher e motion will and will not be detected. This is good if you had a camera pointed t owards something tha t is always moving , such as a busy road.

CV301-8CH 37 SVA T ELECTRONICS now you can see MAIN MENU DST DST stands for daylight sa ving time; you can adjust the DVR to change aut omatically when daylight saving time approaches , this is so you don’ t hav e to go back and do it yourself . Y ou can also c ustomiz e when the DVR changes for DST .
CV301-8CH 38 SVA T ELECTRONICS now you can see Passw ord S etup This menu selection allows you t o change the device ID , enable passwor d protection as well as set a new passwor d for users and admin on your DVR. When you enable passwor d protection, you will be pr ompted to insert a password each time you wish to ac cess the main menu.

Upon playing back the rec orded footage, options on the bott om of the screen appear for you t o manipulate the video .

V iewing your footage from y our computer allows y ou more options for manipulating the video as w ell as for backing up footage directly to your c omputer .

CV301-8CH 48 SVA T ELECTRONICS now you can see 1. Minute Bar: Displays the minutes of when the footage was r ecorded and for ho w long. Y ou can also adjust the small box to mo ve to particular par ts of the footage 2. Hour Bar: T he selected button displays the hour the footage was r ecorded .
CV301-8CH 49 SVA T ELECTRONICS now you can see T o save a sec tion of video: 1. Move the cursor ( on the green bar) to the section of footage you w ould like to sav e. 2. Select the ST icon. A blue bar will appear where you wan t the video to star t saving as w ell as make the icons next to the ST icon become usable .

The PC can be connected by a wired or wireless connection Internet Explorer 6.
