The access point wi ll use the highest p ossibl e sele cted transmissi on rate to transmit the data packets. N Data Rate T he “Data Rate” is the rate that this ac cess po int uses to transmit data packets for N compl iant wire less nodes.
E | 3 Security This Acc ess Poi nt provid es compl ete wirel ess LAN security funct ions, incl uded are WEP, IE EE 8 02.11x, IEEE 802.11x w ith WEP, WPA wi th pre-share d key and WPA w ith RADIUS. Wit h these security functi ons, y ou can prevent your wirel ess LAN from i lle gal access.
E | 3 WEP When you sel ect 64-bit or 1 28-bi t WEP k ey, you have to enter WEP keys to encrypt data. You can generate the key by yourse lf an d en ter it. You can enter four W EP keys and s el ect one o f them as a defa ult ke y. Then th e router can receiv e any pack ets encrypted by one of the f our keys.
E | 3 WP A Pre-shared Ke y Wi-Fi Prote cted A ccess (WPA) is an advanced se curity sta ndard. You can use a pre-shared key to au t henticat e wire less stations and encrypt d ata during communicati on. It u ses TKIP or CCMP (AES) to change t he encrypti on key frequentl y.

E | 3 Wi-Fi Protecte d Setup (WPS) is the simp lest way to esta blish a connect ion between the wirel ess cli ents an d th e wirele ss rou ter. You don’t have t o se lect the encrypti on mode and fill in a l ong encry ptio n pa ssphrase every tim e when you try to setup a wirel ess connecti on.
E | 3 Authentication Mode It shows t he active authenti cation mode for the wirel ess co nnectio n. Passphrase Key It shows the pas sphrase key that is ran domly generated b y the wi rel ess ro uter d uring the WPS process. You ma y need t his inf ormation when us ing a devic e whi ch does n’t sup port WPS.

E | 3 DMZ If yo u have a cl ient PC that ca nnot run an I nternet appl ication (e.g. Games) properly from behin d t he NA T firewal l, then y ou can open up th e firewall restricti ons to unr estricted two-way Internet a ccess by d efi ning a DM Z Host.
E | 3 Denial of Service (DoS) The Broadb and router's fi rewall can bl ock c ommon hacker attacks, in clu ding Denial o f S ervice, Pi ng of Death, P ort S can and Sync F lood.
E | 3 A ccess Y ou can restrict users from accessing certai n Internet appli cati ons/services (e.g. I nternet w ebsit es, email, FTP etc.), Access Control a ll ows users t o def ine the traffic type permitt ed in your LAN . Y ou can control w hich PC cli ent can have access to these ser vices.

E | 3 Connect & Disco nnect “NetUSB” al lows you to use USB printers w hen t hey’re actual ly co nnected t o the Sitecom U SB server . The “ connect ” operation is a software o peration t hat si mul ates an actual US B device plug-in.
E | 3 NetUSB installa tion The steps t o do instal lati on for USB devi ces, l i k e MFPs: • Make sure the S itecom WLR -6000 is t urned on. • Connect the US B devi ce to S itecom WLR -6000.
E | 3 • Click the server . Then all USB devic es attached to the server wi ll be shown. • Please fo ll ow t he user manual of t he USB devi ce to i nstall its driver . F or example, you may put the driver CD of the USB device i n the CDROM player to i nstall the dri ver .
E | 3 • When you are asked to plug in the USB devic e i nto PC’ s US B port, clic k the desi red USB devi ce in t he Control Center and th en cli ck the “ Auto- Connect Printer” button t o do the conne ct oper ation and get the ownershi p of th e U SB dev ice.

Follow t he steps below to perform NetUS B pri nting. • In the Co ntrol Center , cl ick the MFP s erver that has t he desire d printer (or MFP) attached.
E | 3 • If you ch oose “ Auto-Co nnected Printer List ” in the “ T ools ” menu, you c an see a newl y created item that descri bes the associati on betw een the Windows pri nter and the physical print er on the server . • Then try to issue a print job to the d esired printer .
